Do you have a hard time admitting to being wrong to people when they present you with the cold, ugly truth that is staring you down in the face?

Not if I'm actually wrong, no.

But when you have the bright, shining beacon of rightness on yourside ALL THE TIME, it's obviously hard to climb down from your golden throne of hearts and sunshine.

I'm never wrong. shifty.gif

But uh, I guess I take it pretty well. But when I'm trying to prove someone wrong and they further prove me wrong, well, I get a little pizzzed.

Hello, Tina Bina! hehe.gif

For the most part, don't have problems with being proven wrong and long as the presenter has his/her facts straight.

Yes... I have the human nature of denying things subconsciously...
but if I really find out that I'm wrong, I will admit it in the end.

yeah, sometimes i have a hard time admitting the truth. i guess it all depends on the person mainly. if the person is one of those "know-it-all" kind of people rolleyes.gif , i'll fight a situation until we come to an agreement or they finally admit i'm right. stubborn.gif

but if it's someone like my boyfriend or my father, i'll usually just be like "whatever" or agree that they are right, but ONLY if they are right!

Depends on the situation for me. Sometimes yes, I'll take it and deal with it. Other times I like to not see it right away.

Heh, heh, heh.

So when I'm wrong, and I know I'm wrong, I hate admitting it. Like, with a passion. I don't know if it's because I hate being wrong or I hate that discomfort when somebody makes it their life goal to prove me wrong, but it can be ridiculously difficult for me to be say "I'm wrong." (But you know, it is easier to say "You're right." Weird.) Not that I don't admit to being wrong - I almost always do, but it's just awwwwwkward when I do. I break it up into really short sentences and I fidget and I dodge eye contact and aaaall that stuff.

It depends on who it is and what it is really. Most times no.

Damn haha

It depends on who is telling me haha

Like some of my friends are haters so I just completely ignore everything they say. But if my grandfather told me I had four eyes, and three noses, and my name was Margaret and that was the cold truth..I would believe him. mellow.gif

Okay, maybe that was a bad example but yeah..I think it's human nature to have a problem with it. But, I rather someone tell me than not tell me so I guess I appreciate it shrug.gif

Agreed on everything except the grandfather bit. tongue.gif

It entirely depends on the person telling me. If I see the person in high esteem their opinion will matter more to me than of someone whom I expect will criticize me.

Sometimes it's hard to admit that I'm wrong. Especially if I believe something is right for so long and am stubborn about it, then suddenly just being proven that it wasn't. ermm.gif Otherwise, it's not so hard.

I only have trouble with certain people who always hafta be right telling me I'm wrong. stubborn.gif But, if it's a friend telling me I'm wrong to help me out, it's understandable.

Not really. If it's really the cold hard truth, then no. I admit it.
But if I think they're feeding me bull, I'll definitely defend myself.
