INTRODUCING THE CREATEBLOG.COM AWARDS
That's right guys (and gals!), get your Xanga's in gear, starting this February and every month thereafter, we're going to select and give away a XANGA OF THE MONTH award, which at the end of the year will be eligible for the ever-so-prestigious XANGA OF THE YEAR award! It's how we give a well deserved pat in the back to those who strive and take outmost care in presenting their Xanga's. The winners will be selected from these three criteria: design, content, and originality. That mean's not only do you need an orgasm inducing design (whew - just the thought of it!), but also content to back it up! It only makes it more fun and competitive - only the ones who truly deserve the award will recieve it! Afterall, this is as good as it gets! That's right guys, you heard right, our awards are for the very best!


PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT
So how can I participate you ask? Easy - every month there will be a topic in Xanga Help where you can vote for the Xanga of that month! You can vote your own, your friend's, or some random guy's (or gal's ofcourse!) Xanga that you happened to stumble upon, but you get to vote only ONCE a month, so vote with care! Please keep in mind that we are looking for three things in particular - design, content, and originality - so place your votes accordingly. At the end of the month, we will tally up the votes and bestow the award to the one that recieved the most votes!


RULES AND GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW
To prevent people from making multiple accounts to inflate votes, we require a minimum of 5 postcounts for your vote to count. If you do not have this required minimum by the end of the month when we tally up the votes, your vote will be discarded. Also, we stress that you refrain from voting your own Xanga unless you absolutely and positively (we can't stress this enough!) feel that it deserves the award. (By all means, vote for yourself if you feel that way!) We also encourage when placing your vote, to include reasons why you believe it deserves the award. Designs that have won a previous createBlog.com Award are not eligible. And as mentioned above, each member can place only one vote - multiple votes will be discarded - but you can change your vote anytime before we tally them up. Contestants do not need to be a member to be eligible for the award. I think that's all for the rules and guidelines! Have fun guys! (And gals too!) Time to be on the lookout for excelling Xangas!


WHAT'S IN IT FOR THE WINNERS?
Glad you asked, because my golly, we have a lot in store for them. First, if they are members of this community (remember you don't have to be one to be eligible), you get bumped to to the "Award Winner" group member! Second, you get to proudly display a Xanga of the Month banner in your Xanga. Last, if you submit the winning design into our Skins Database you will be given a Xangans.com webhosting package free of charge for a year! That's right - for one whole year you get to have a real website for free! So what are you waiting for?! Spiff out your Photoshop and HTML/CSS skills and get working!
