what was your favorite field trip in school? what did you do on this field trip?

my favorite, and i know it will stay this way, was new york city last friday..

it was amazing. we went to the statue of libery, took a tour of the city (ground 0, times square, etc), we went shopping, and then ate at a fancy restarant.. the 4.5 hour bus ride was definitly a memory though

what about you?

We didn't have very many field trips, but anyway, my favorite was probably the trip to Washington D.C. I was able to get to see some pretty sweet sites, get some photographs, and hang the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

By the way, you'll probably be able to make your goal pretty soon. =P

First grade trip to the planetarium. I've gone back since, and it's nothing like I remember, but OMG, I had never been more amazed in my life.

Moved to School

In 5th grade, we went to Camp Casey and did a whole bunch of classic camping things, like learning about 'tree shelters' and things.

In 6th grade we went to the Nutcracker ballet. It was fun, in the morning we all dressed up and had a fancy breakfast.

Every year in junior high the orchestra, band and choir went to the "Music in the Parks" festival at Wild Waves, this water amusement park. We always won first place tongue.gif

Band trip to Vancouver Island. Not exactly a far away destination but it was fun to be away from it all for a few days.

Last year it had to be my socials trip to Victoria and senior band trip to Cuba. The Cuba trip left me with memories and images that I'll never forget.

well, maybe this isnt exactly a "field trip," but the orchestra class went to the bahamas for a competition. we made a stop at miami, stayed there for the night, then boarded a ship for our 4 day cruise. i snorked, shopped once we got to the bahamas, then went back onto the ship. then at the end, we all had tours of south beach (i think is what it's called?) we shopped around some more and ate at a nice little resturant.

My "farthest" field trip was to San Diego Zoo, considering the fact that I live in LA, it really isn't THAT far comparing to most of the above with places like Washington D.C. My school never offers the opportunity for us to have field trips far away except for band.

My favorite probably is going to California Science Center in LA because they have some really cool stuff to play around with.

Or maybe Knott's Berry Farm. happy.gif

Probably either the Zoo in 1st grade, or Sea World in Kindergarden and 2nd. laugh.gif

All of my middle/high school field trips were crappy. :(

I went to NYC last school year for five days for our choir competion. It was amazing. I went shopping (soho, time square, the biggest Toys R Us I've ever seen, etc.), did some tourist-y stuff (ground zero, empire state building, etc.), and watched a couple shows on Broadway (The Color Purple, Tarzan). The whole experience was amazing and I had the best time with my roomates (who we named the J4!! laugh.gif).

Cedar Point. It was great. We could do whatever we wanted as long as we were back in time to leave. We were there from 8am-11pm. *No chaperones*
