personalized fonts, any know how to do it? |

right, i want to be able to have text in a layout where it's a special font that i downloaded, not just a default one. and i want people using the code to be able to change what is written..
deos anyone know how how i could get around doing this?? |

If you downloaded a font and want to have that set as the font for the text that you right in your layout, if the person viewing your site doesn't have that font it will show up as default font. If you put the font on a graphic or something, then they will be able to view it.

there is a way to embed the font to your page so that if the other person doesn't have the font downloaded, they can still see it.

The font embedding works, but only for Internet Explorer.
Most of the professional websites I've seen which try to use nonconventional fonts usually use them only in title text using image files, which means you can't have any changing text (i.e. blog entries & such). Some of the newer websites, though, seem to have started mixing some flash objects into the layout to display the text, as flash will allow embedded text in any browser. |
