There's nothing wrong with agreeing, but try to give a little reason to why you feel the same as the person you agree with. wink.gif

I'm for interracial marriages. I know for sure I'm not going to marry any thai person. I mean, we're all people, so why should race stop us from marrying one another?

I'm perfectly fine with them.

There's another topic like this, but it's almost three years old. :F

phht aint nothing wrong with interracial marriage.
My girlfriend's chinese, and I'm as white as they come. Some people have preferences for different races, or just like certain people. That's not gonna do much to destroy diversity.
A lot of people would prefer to stick to their own race. I know most of my friends prefer their own race, and socially that's what happens most. Sure society can change and like everything become a normality and accepted, but I still find it hard to believe that diversity will disappear due to a seemingly rare occurrence.

I'm for interracial marriages too. I mean, it's human nature to like people who look like you, but that's only one part of human attraction.

I have a lot of mixed friends and they are proud of their different backgrounds. And I know I'm not going to marry an Asian dude. Sorry, but I just can't. (My parents think otherwise... <_<)

And, I don't know about you all, but from what I've seen, there are more attractive biracial people than people who marry within their own "race." But that's just me. *shrugs*

Marriage is a choice made by two who are getting married. If they want to marry outside of race then good for them.

"If everybody married someone from a different race then in one generation there would me be no prejudice." -Tracy (Thirteen)

Marriage is about love and love shouldn't have anything to do with race. woo, i'm biracial, so yes i support interracial marriage 100%(even if i wasn't i still would).

I'm not entirely for interracial marraiges. There are some races I wouldn't dare dating. Call it racism but I assure you that it isn't. It's about culture and my family.
Months ago, I'd have said 'I'm totally for it'. I'm not ... not exactly. I can't see myself bringing an Asian home.

I'd rather stick to my race (I've found this new attraction towards them). But I'm sure that anyone who isn't Asian / Muslim has a fair chance of fitting in my family.

Why wouldn't you "dare" date them?
Most likely you are generalizing the race as a whole as "acting a certain way", because obviously EVERYONE is different.

Yes, I know. We are all different, yadi yada. It doesn't matter. Number one, I wouldn't dare date ANYBODY whom I KNOW is going to cause friction in the family. Prevention is better than cure.
I won't throw myself into a fire if I know it's going to burn me ... if not kill me.

Wouldn't having an Asian and a Caucasian have a baby, creating a new "hybrid" race, actually increase diversity? (Taking it back to that discussion about diversity.)

Isn't there enough diversity? Scratch that. If I'm going to have kids, I'm not going to be thinking 'I must increase diversity'. Bull. I'd rather think 'My baby must be loved' and all the shit mothers think about.

Anyway, if marrying someone from a different race suits you / makes you happy ... sure. I'll pass.

i dont think that there is anythign wrong with interaccial marriages. but if there were two guys that were exactly the same except for the fact that one was of my race and one was not, i would choose the one of my race. simply because things would be easier with family. it would be better to communicate and stuff. but someone falls in love with someone that is not of their race, then i say go for it. race, religon, or anything else (like disability) wouldnt play a drastic role in my life. but i will be factored in because i also would like to thing of simplicity.

I see nothing wrong with interracial marriages....well it is probably because i am like 6 different races myself.(father is 3/4 korean and 1/8 italian and 1/8 german my mother is black, irish and native american). i don't think race should matter when it comes to love or marriage or really anything at all
