Ehh. I've been trying to pass my license for a while now but bad timing and not having all the necessary forms has delayed the process.

I finally took my Written today and failed by 1 QUESTION. Sooo pissed off... it was something like, "You can pull over on the highway..." and I responded "When you are visible within a safe distance and turn on your emergency flashers." Apparently though, the answer was, "When it is an emergency."

Damn you Washington State Department of Licensing.

Could've passed 20/25.... but I got 19/25. The other questions I missed were just as lame.

Ugh, they were like, "You can retake this in 4 hours... but we close in one hour, so you have to come back tomorrow, but we're only open until 2:00 tomorrow, so come at 8:30, and then you can take it for another $20."

OMG your state only has 25 questions for the exam? In California, there are 46 questions for teen drivers and passing is 38/46. stubborn.gif

I took my permit test about half a year ago and I passed it with a 42/46. biggrin.gif
Sometime next month I am going to take my driving test.

I passed the written on my first try; I missed 4.

I failed my driving test the first time because I "ran a red light".

Whatever.

blink.gif Weird. In North Dakota our permit test is only 20 some questions and its super easy. The driver's test doesnt even have a written portion... you just drive with a person for 10 min and you only need a 70% to pass. Also you only have to have 6 hours of driving with a professional.

That must be why we have such bad drivers.

Anyways yeah I got my permit when I was 14 only missed 1 question... then I got my license aobut a month ago (I'm 15) and got a 90%. I have a friend who failed her permit test 3 times O_o I'm never going to let her get her license...

But hey, it's better than here in California.

I passed the written exam my first try (46 questions and can get up to 8 wrong). Can't wait for my License in September (If I pass the drivers test since I have a permit)

A friend of mines took his written test last tuesday and he failed by 1 question as well. However, you can take the test again the next day. As for here, you have to wait a week and pay another 27$ for the test.

I hope you pass it! (=

I passed my written test on my first try. I think I missed two.

I failed my driving test though, and I was really pissed, because I had done PERFECTLY until I got into the parking lot of the DMV. Then when we parked up, the guy was like, "You know you missed a stop sign on your way into the parking lot, right?" and I failed.

And it was BS because I swear, there was no stop sign. Even when I left the DMV, I couldn't find the stop sign that he was talking about. I think it must have been partially hidden or something.

Anyway, I haven't retaken it yet because I'm still pissed off. lol. This was May or June 2005 btw. haha

Here, our test is out in the middle of the DMV (all the noise is destracting) and it's 50 random questions and 20 signs idenification questions. I got 2 wrong. It was the noise, haha.

I passed my behind the wheel test. I got two points (you accumulate points for everything wrong you do) because I didn't slow wayyy down at the second uncontrolled intersection.

Yeah, I've heard about California's crazy written test... And I think Washington is like, the second or something most difficult because they require 80%.

Gah. I have the ACT tomorrow. Trying to take that AND this driving exam will be a pain. Thanks for the encouragement!

Good news.... took it again today and passed with a 92%! wooh. The questions today were a lot more normal.

I totally have this theory now that they make the 1st trial questions hellishly difficult so that they can get an extra $20 out of you if you fail and have to take it again. Once they get $40, they're more satisfied so they make them easy so they don't have to deal with us "teens" again. lol

ahh. Now? The drive.

I got a 97/100 on my test... I bumped into a cone while parallel parking. First and only time in my life I'd ever messed up on that, and it was during my test. Go figure. But, my instructor said I was the best driver he's had in years. thumbsup.gif
