I am currently composing a list of things to do to occupy myself over the summer, since i don't want to sit in front of the computer all day. i am attempting to fight my addiction..

What are some CREATIVE ways that you (or you+ your friends) do to cure boredom? I've searched on Google and they're all such cliche ideas!

1 write a story. you'll be in front of the comptuer though, unless you go oldschool.

2 take pictures. much fun, get good at pp, which would also be computer, but you'd make your way to cutting your addiction.

3. get a job.

-buy acrylic paint and paint murals all over the walls of a friend's room
-have a wild orgy
-go to a headshop and befriend a random stoner
-sit on the side of a road pointing a hairdryer at cars as they drive by and see how many slow down
-superglue a quarter to the floor at a mall and see how many people try to pick it up
-dye your hair a crazy color
-discover the ultimate secret of the universe
-create a new language and piss people off by refusing to speak anything but your language
-throw pennies at a hobo
-go to a mall and follow someone around until they realize that you're following them
-throw bread at old people
-start a campaign to free the ducks (the government is using them as spies against their will)
-count how many things in your house are blue
-start a small business
-befriend a midgit
-take a nun out drinking
-become an ordained minister
-create your own religion
-write a novel
-bake something
-learn to knit
-blow bubbles (believe me, that provides hours of entertainment)
-discover the aesthetic beauty of office supplies

there are lots of things to do!

Go find yourself a portable game system and a puzzle game. They take up so little brainpower and so much time.

Alternately, play WeBoggle. It too takes little brainpower and lots of time.

(and before you ask, you have to compete against a friend. it makes it twice as nerve-wracking.)

- Tennis. (Well, duh.)
- Any other form of exercise I may be able to do. Probably the elliptical or walking around.
- Write poems. Get in touch with my creative side. thumbsup.gif
- Take guitar or piano? I've been wanting to learn for so long but my parents haven't let me - yet.
- Find a game to get addicted to. (FlyFF, probably. XD.gif )
- *stares at phone* ... shifty.gif

Jobs are always good.
Work out, run around, situps, pushups, etc.
Clean shit up.
Organize stuff.

My friends and I are never bored. You can steal some ideas from us:

- Tennis/work-out tournaments and see who lasts longer at the gym
- Learn how to cook food so we don't die in college

- Invent something
- Make something with the sewing machine
- Start a business
- Draw with chalk all over the street
- Run across highways

- Glue quarters to the floors of malls
- Photobooth pictures
- Go to Mac/Sephora and try on all the make-up
- Hold up people with toy guns at stores
- Duct tape someone to a pole
- Watergun someone unexpectedly

- Bake a 10 layer cake
- Take pics, blow them up, and stick posters all over your room
- Find out how flexible you are
- Have a HUGE potluck/picnic at a public park and invite everyone you know

I've done all the bolded ones

Oh snap, that elaboratedream person has some same ideas as me. Mine are better though.

this summer i'm going to be more active. i've been playing tennis a lot more, jogging a lot more, and i've also been hitting the gym! woo! lol i would do boxing as well, but i can't afford gloves right now lol. i've also decided that i want to complete 50 community service hours before the summer is over. i'm taking a road trip to houston in 5 days! woot! let's see. what else am i doing...oh yes! at the end of this month i'll be taking classes for summer session b, and that'll take up a lot of my time as well. yeah, my summer is pretty much full right now but i'm SO ready to stuff some more activities in. haha :)
