well, consider you're self lucky...cuz my parents don't let me out at all. if i even ask to go out. they freak, even if im out late with family. yes! family!

my parents are azn yes. they're strict and they always will be, its the fact that they're still living the old traditional ways. but still its unfair and ridiculous. and im am taking that kids advice. when you're 18. get the hell out. dude. im so doing that.

My parents are pretty lame too. Don't worry. Lots do...unfortunately.

I'm 18 and it's such an issue to drive home past 11ish because apparently all the crazy and/or drunk drivers will obviously be out to get me.
There's more, but yeah...it's lame.

yep yep my parents are lame. they're so...asian. haha. you know, overly protective and everything. when i lived with them my dad never let me go out, i always had to sneak out. he didn't like me talking on the phone. he didn't like the clothes i wore, and even now he doesn't. when i dress semi-girly he gets mad at me. so i tried to dress like a boy and he got mad at me and told me i should just cut my hair short so i can look like a boy. :\ i can never get good enough grades. if i make a B it's bad because it should be an A, and if i make an A he gets mad because it should be a 100% A. what the pho? but yes my parents are lame. it kills me that i love them so much. haha ;)

i keep hearing these stories about hard ass asian parents, glad i'm not asian haha. my dad has the same issue with my grades. so i used to be a B student, but he wanted As. then i slipped to a C student, and he kept pushing for As. now i'm on academic probation cuz my last semester was below a 2.0... he still asks for As, wtf does he enjoy fuking with me.

Just tell them your in college and you can do whatever you want.I cannot wait to turn 18 and move out! Only 10 more months! I can only see my boyfriend on Sat. & Sun. from 4:30-12. This is bad considering I used to be able to spend all day with him, then mom decided that we were spending too much time together and we need to start being a "normal" couple and have a "normal dating" relationship. Even though we aren't dating. We are in a relationship and have been for the past 9 months! I think she just went crazy.. geez..

Not even that bad.
My parents don't let me go hang out with anyone. And if they do, only for an hour or two at the most. and I often get drug tested when i get home.
They ban me from seeing most of my friends. When I have friends over here, they come and check on us literally every 3 minutes. I timed it. within 20 seconds of three minutes. every time.
and they wont let me spend the night out.
the only time i've done that in the past 2 years is a few weekends ago when I stayed at my aunt's.
and they almost weren't gonna let me do that. It was my f**king aunt. I mean seriously. She's family.
and as far as dating, not allowed. They don't wnat me dating until after highschool. how fuckign screwed up is that???? I do it anyways, but when they find out I'm dating someone I'm never allowed to see them again.

how are they lame.. they just care for you... put urself in their shoes.. seeing their child go out late till like 5am in the morning is pretty nervewracking to them... so before you start calling your parents lame n gay, just think about it...

^^ agreed. Most of the time when parents are over protective, they're just worried about your well-being. My parents are somewhat over protective and it bugs me sometimes, but they have their reasons and I understand that.

my parents alway repeat the same advice abotu life, school etc.
It is really annoying but they are alway there to help you not to hold you down.

Well, I wouldn't call my parents lame since they grew up in a completely different country. But, they don't like it when I go to the movies. I dunno why...but oh wells.

My parents are very overprotective of me. I'm an only child so I feel that has something to do with it. I usually have to be home around 10:30 which sucks but once I can drive things are going to change.
