okay, this is so completely random so it belongs here.
anyway. i just want to know what this is: sometimes when im drifting off to sleep (almost completely out) i have the feeling like im falling, and i swear my heart stops and my whole body jumps up. it happens pretty much at least twice a week. what the heck is up with that??????? do you get that and what the heck is it? (i told you it was random) |

Maybe you've just drifted off to sleep too quickly? It's like those days after you go canoing and you feel like you are still drifting when you're in bed. It's weird, but I think I know what you mean.

When you wake up with a sudden jolt it's because your astral self (which detaches from your body when you dream) is suddenly rushed into your body. Which would explain the sudden rush or falling sensation you feel (supposedly your astral floats above you while sleeping.) http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...t&p=1909834 That happens to me too. I don't really know if it's really astral projection, but I just remembered reading that. |

I know what you're talking about, it doesn't happen to me that often but it's happened. It's freaky and I don't know how to explain it, but yeah...

OH, I get this sensation sometimes. Actually, it's because I do almost fall off the bed; because I'm lying precariously near the edge, or something, and I wobble for a second and get that falling sensation. I never get it just randomly for no reason though. |

Who knows. When I'm about to sleep, I feel like I'm spinning. My head feels like it's rocking up and down, but its not. Maybe I have a brain tumor. Maybe you do too. Get that checked out.

This never happens to me. It usually takes me forever to fall asleep and sometimes I'll just lay there and move around a bit (I know it sounds strange). I think I just need to try to do some more relaxing things before going to bed.
