I dont think they could top the 3rd though, really.
It should only be a trilogy, IMO.

OH LUCKY! I'm still looking for my excuse to see it again.

My friend watched Spider Man 3 three times and I was like "Waddaheck? Why would you ever do that?" and DUUUUUDE, I would watch Pirates like nine times. Srsly.

Yeah, Me and my friends went to see POTC1 7 times in theaters. pinch.gif
Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money anymore. heh.
But yeah, I'd definitely go watch it all day everyday, if I had the time/money to do so. haha

I found these:

However much I enjoyed POTC, I think it should end now; so it can end on a really good, high note (at least, in my opinion) because I'm scared that future movies will "ruin" it...

I don't think PotC would be the same without Will Turner... if they made a 4th one I would want it to be about... well, I'm not so sure but I would like it to include some new family stuff. Ya know?

Maybe I'm just like that kind of fluffy stuff. shrug.gif

hey for you guys that want the extended ending after the credits read this spoiler. i cant PM all of you lol.

Its ten years later and this kid comes out singing on a cliff the pirate song. Then Keira comes behind him and then the green light flashes. Will Turner is sailing the flying dutchman to them.

so meaning that they did have sex on the beach and now they have a 10 year old son now.

Okay, I have a question:

Now that Will is the Captain of the Dutchman, can he come back after the ten years or only once every ten years?

i loved pirates of the caribbean. it wasnt as good as the first one though but still. the only thing i didnt like was that jack sparrow wasnt screened enough. i mean come on, jack sparrow is pirates of the caribbean. oh and breakingdawn, to answer your question..

it's once every ten years. sucks for them.. it made the movie somewhat depressing :[

My family and I got to see POTC3 for freee!! eyebrowes.gif
All thanks to my kuya.

We get free movie tickets for as long as...forever?
Haha, I don't know. But it's a good perk. happy.gif

I agree with Alysa. I don't want POTC to END, but I don't want future movies to ruin the ones already made. I just want to see what happens with Elizabeth and Will..pretty much.

But then Will wouldn't have saved his father OR gotten to spend any time with Elizabeth. I dunno~ I'm content with the ending, although a LOT of people are bitchy about it.

But then why would Jack have stolen the fountain of youth map? And why would they have shown Elizabeth w/ the kid? Although the ending did make it seem like everything was back to normal making it possible that there not be another one? *shrug* I don't know where to stand when the argument arises that there will either be another or won't be another

^(To Anna) I am content as well.

I didn't like how Elizabeth didn't age at all, after 10 years though...

But their "son" was way cute.

To Steve: I think the end allows our minds to wonder.
Just because the story COULD go on, doesn't necessarily mean it should.

It's not that I didn't like the ending, because I loved it, but when I think about it: every ten years? Yikers.

And I was thinking the other day about how the heck Will and Elizabeth's relationship progressively got better throughout the movie 'til the point where he wants to marry her. So someone refresh me memory: during that scene where Will and Jack are talking, what exactly happens?

Yeah, it's unfortunate because Will will see Elizabeth a handful of times and then she'll be gone. But hey, better to have someone and be able to see them once in a while than to never see them ever again.

And which scene? :\ I don't remember, haha.

I think it's the scene where Jack says he's gonna kill Davey Jones so he can become the captain and stay at Sea Forever, then release Will's dad, and let Will marry Elizabeth so he doesn't have to make the choice between them. But we all know that din work out with the whole being stabbed by Davey Jones thing...

So hold on, when is the turning point? Like, when do Will and Elizabeth start getting along again?

I think it happens when they are separated for a duration of time and then when she becomes the Pirate King and Will is with the other two as they approach Barbosa and Jack on the beach. I don't think they ever stopped loving eachother, per se, but rather needed some time away from eachother and when they were re-united and found out eachothers' intentions everything just kinda cleared up and they were all lovey dovey again.

Awww, now I'm going all cutesy over Will and Elizabeth again! LOL

Oh, but when she kissed James (okay, okay so he kissed her), I was like "Slut." and the whole damn theatre heard me. And the entire time whenever Will was on teh screen I was like "Why the fudgers would you cheat on that?"

^ Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing when that happened. I was like, " ohmy.gif HOW COULD YOU?!" But like you said he kissed her. I still can't get over how romantic that kissing scene was when they got married. Sigh...I loved it. I'm such a sap, haha.

I don't get the ending. Is she supposed to be living on that island now?

The freezing monkey was adorable.

Shooting the monkey out of the cannon made the movie. That, and Keith Richards playing guitar.

The monkey is totally awesome. It adds humor EVERY TIME.

I stayed after the credits and watched that less-than-one-minute ending. hammer.gif
I still like Pirates 1 and 2 more.

So many Captain Jack Sparrows! clap.gif Many people were like "w00t!" when Jack first appeared. Then they found out...there were a lot more Jacks.
