So yeah. Do you believe in destiny/ that we are dealt a hand of cards and we have to play the game of life as best we can and how often the cards are marked?

Or do you believe that we have no destiny and life is just something we experience, with no reason and/or purpose?

(Okay, I'm Catholic, so ..)

I think God highly suggests what my destiny should be, but I guess I can change the course of my life if I really wanna break out of it. (Which I don't really plan to do.) So, yeah. :P

perhaps destiny does exist, but it can be changed. does that make sense? lol. i believe that everything happens because it was meant to happen. then there are those times when it's like you can prevent it from happening if you want to. does that make sense? ehh, it made sense to me :)

I'm not catholic. But I am a christian, and I agree with this.
I think God has a plan for our life. It's when we dont follow Him, that we "break out of it", As Mark said. _smile.gif
And I'm not saying like STRICTLY follow Him, cause we all make mistakes. but yeah.
(Just my opinion though, hehe).

I agree with Kara and her reply.

I think God has a specific plan but of course we make all our choices and everything and there is a 'destiny' out there for everyone.

That's a tough thing for me to answer cause in a way I do believe everyone has a destiny...but people make it themselves as time goes along, not that God sets it in stone. Mind you I don't reaaally believe in God...I'm agnostic, so yeah.

Thats basically my answer as well. I think there are certain things that are supposed to happen and fall into place, but life is all what we make of it.

I think perhaps there is a destiny for us all. I mean where ever we finish in life is our destiny but at the same time it's not written in stone, if you get what I mean. You can change destiny for another one. Everything or most things are in your hands. You make life what it is.

I believe that we have a destiny if we believe it ourselves.

I see destiny as a few things. I see it as a reason for a lot of people to escape and not take responsibility for their actions. I also see it as somewhat of a social expectation.

Hmm, I just lost my train of thought due to walking away, doing something for 5 mins, and coming back. So I'll just leave it with that above :)

I see this as a fate or faith sort of argument. I believe that we all have a purpose to fulfill, but it's personal. Such purpose, or "destiny," is unique to each individual, to what each person holds true and believes in. It all depends on your definition of destiny, really.
