Ever wondered how fast you typed? How many words a minute?
I found this typing test a little while ago and I've been playing around with it. I had the best luck with "The Enchanted Typewriter," haha. www.typingtest.com These are my results: Net Speed: 67 WPM Accuracy: 95% Gross Speed: 70 WPM (words/minute) It's a quick, online test (you don't have to download anything) and it requires Java, so I don't recommend taking the test if you're a dial-up user. It might freeze your computer. |

Okay there is a exact topic like this but it isn't a poll. Its probably over 6 months old so it wouldn't matter and I can't seem to find it anyway.

I take these test every day.
At one point I got 127 WPM. with 85% accuracy. Although, that was a long long time ago. Now It would probably range around 80-90 with 90% accuracy. |

I'll take that test later. I take computer keyboarding at school so I always know how fast I type, averaged anywhere between 100 and high 120's.

OH YEAH BABY! Net Speed: 85 WPM (words/minute) Accuracy: 96% Gross Speed: 88 WPM (words/minute) We had to do typing classes in all my computer classes. It was retarded. |

Yeah I can type way faster when I'm thinking about what I want to be typing and don't have to worry about spelling some weird sounding country just for the sake of worrying about accuracy. I'd rather be accurate with what I type on a daily basis instead of typing obscure words that one would never use.
Also people tend to think they type faster because their keyboard is loud and when you hear a bunch of noise and it sounds like a bunch of keys are being hit at once, then you get the false feeling that you're typing faster than you actually are. |

haha i would rather not say what i got on that test, i am not good at copying something. i type faster when i dont have to copy something. and i dont capitalize or anything like that lol. so yeah.
