I just wrote a long-ass blog on Myspace, and I accidentally clicked that "x" on the tab. stubborn.gif That's like the 3rd time that it's happened to me. Now I don't feel like typing it over again.

Have you ever accidentally exited out of or deleted something you were working on?
It's really frustrating...

I once coded an entire Xanga layout in the the provided Look&Feel boxes(WITHOUT copying it and then pasting it) only to have the page freeze when I was about to save it. I waited, not wanting to close it, but I was then forced to exit :( and I had to make a new one all over again.

I now Crtl+C everything I type, including cB posts.

You mean kind of like when you're up all night doing an essay and for some reason the Microsoft Word document goes all crazy berzeker on you and says "Not Responding"? And then you feel like smashing the computer to pieces while practically bowing down to it begging it to restore the six pages of text at the very same time?

Why yes, I think that's happened to me before.

I hate when that happens. I've set most of my programs so that they save what I'm doing every minute or so, so that if I get a "This program is not responding" box the next time I open up the program my stuff will still be there. So yeah. I've made some stupid mistakes before.

UGH I just got like 10 different websites for my research paper.. It took me two hours to find those sites.. and all of a sudden the program isn't responding and I have to end everything.. now I don't have any sites for my paper, a messed up computer, and a blank document on microsoft word. great.

I hate when that happens. It happens to me all the time when I'm filling out a survey or something and then when I go to submit it disappears!

Yes. When I used to use xanga lots, sometimes I'd accidentally hit the back button or refresh and it was always after I'd written something really long...

Yes, It is SOOOO frustrating when that happens. stubborn.gif Thats why I like stuff that asks me if I'm sure that I want to exit. laugh.gif

But yeah, I'm sure I've lost atleast 25 long blogs, in the past 2-3 years, which I guess isnt really a lot. But they were long, and important.

A few times I've been writing a Xanga entry only to accidentally click "Okay" when it asks if I want to exit the page. But it's just senseless stuff so I didn't mind. It's annoying that I wasted a lot of time writing, though.

Several times... like when I'm in the process of emailing a super long message to somebody and I accidentally exit out, or when I'm typing up an essay and I accidentally quit out of that and lose some data.

I once wrote a 12 page paper on Nazi Germany for my global class, and just as soon I had finished EVERYTHING, including the citing and everything, I went to save it, and closed the whole thing by accident. I had saved half of it, but for got to save the rest, so...well...I lost over six pages of my work. I was so anry, I just started screaming obscenities at my computer and banging on the keyboard.

I never did that agin... _dry.gif

Yepp. But now I put some setting on Firefox to save what I just typed even if it crashes or something. With Word, there is no cure.
