I bought it. XD . I've only listened to two songs and it, really, isn't that bad...I mean, it's definately different.

And it's sad because I really like that they're cussing on their cd's now. I'm weird. Or something.

I like all of their albums for different reasons, I think they all have their pro's and con's. The big pro about this one is that many of their songs are a lot softer (and a guitar solo in "In Pieces" :O ) and I like this new sound.

My favourites in order:

Leave Out All The Rest
Shadow Of Day
Valentines Day
Hands Held High
What I've Done
In Pieces
Bleed It Out
No More Sorrow - slowly growing on me...

and the rest are a bit crappy xD

That's 7 songs, more songs than I liked on Meteora! Although none of these even come close to Numb =(

I really like it... there are only about two songs that I don't like and that's only because of the screaming.

a lot bands on TV are sell outs but the point being some bands are really respected such as LP, while you got bands like Panic at the disco who is f**king garbage sound horrible live and their music have no sense. LP is good don't get me wrong Fans such as Me and other people feel as if they are selling out their sound for music thats growing in the industry. but whats music now if everyone sounds the same.

First of all, I don't believe in "sell outs."
Every band wants to make it big.
When they get the chance, they take it.
If any of you are/were in a band, you know you'd definitely do it.
So that you can get a bigger fanbase and more people will listen to your music.

Second, Linkin Park's new album is indeed not as good as Meteora.
However, in no way is it garbage.
It sounds different because as bands grow, so do their music.
If you look at most bands, i.e. My Chemical Romance and such, they change their sound to see what kind of sounds they sound best making, or perhaps what sound they believe is what THEY want it to sound like.
If Linkin Park doesn't like the sound they're making now with this album, perhaps they'll change it back to the Meteora-esqe type music.

And third, Panic! is not "f**king garbage."
Sure, Brendon can't sing live for his life.
But just because the lyrics do not make sense, it doesn't mean their music sucks.
Bands write their lyrics from what they've experienced, what they've seen happen, etc.
Their lyrics might just be the same thing that every other band is saying, just they may be a little more creative with it and have added their own "style" into it.
I personally think Panic!'s album is amazing; it's creative and makes me think.

Yeah, sorry if I've totally lost you anywhere.

Agreed. It's not a bad cd, mind you I'm a fan of LP in general so yeah. Sure their past cds were better, but I do like this one as well.

Linkin Park, although I do have some respect for them, is over-rated. Their talent is very limited, and the new album sucks. They, for the worse, changed their sound, and I don't like it. The old stuff, such as "Breaking the Habit," "One Step Closer," "Numb," and "Papercut" rocks! And although there are some decent songs on the new record such as "Shadow of the Day" and "Given Up," they toned down and don't sound anywhere near as good as before. If you want REAL rock music that portrays talent and prestige, listen to Evanescence. Then if you've got something good to say about them, I'll listen.

Yes, it definitely does come down to opinion. And I get very fired-up sometimes when I'm giving mine. Don't take it to heart anyone. It's just me, and I mean nothing personal. I respect your opinion, and although it sometimes may seem as if I don't, trust me - I do.

So here's my "fired-up" opinion again. I don't know where Panic! came in during a LP forum (but I shouldn't say much since I alluded to Ev myself), but Panic! definitely doesn't suck. I haven't heard them live, but I do know that on the AFYCSO album, they f***ing rock! Panic! at the Disco is much more talented than Linkin Park, much more creative, and Chester can't sing worth s**t compared to Brandon. I'm not saying Chester can't sing, for he most definitely can, but his voice is nothing compared to Brandon's. Lyrics don't have to make sense, even though in Panic!'s case, they do (it just comes down to knowing how to analyze metaphors and literary illusions).

I agree that LP's new cd is not like all of the rest but... did any of you even bother to read the booklet before you kept asking over and over again why they changed their sound?. it plainly states it in the book. and if i remember correctly its on the first page.

IMO Bleed It Out is an AWESOME song. The same goes for Given Up.

LP must have done something right for them to be #1 after only been out a week.

One week after its international release, the album has debuted #1 in the US, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Norway, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Philippines, Italy, Sweden, Austria, and Ireland and is certified platinum in Australia, Canada, Indonesia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Austria, Switzerland, and France. It has also been certified gold in Czech, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand and UK. "We're shocked and humbled by this extraordinary show of support. We invested ourselves entirely into the creation of this album, with the hope that this music would resonate with our fans as deeply as it does with us. We couldn't be more excited about today's news," said guitarist, Brad Delson.

^ Bleed It Out is one of the only couple good songs there.

That's what I noticed too!
Altogether it wasn't exactly the worst album, but without old LP, it isn't really much.
