there's this guy named chris. he's one of my buddies and i've been [kindof] crushing on him on-and-off lately. some days, i really like him and others i don't. him and i got to talking to day and he asked me out. and i don't know if i really want to go out with him or not. i'm afraid i'll have regrets no matter what i do. help.

go out with him... you might totally like his attitude when the atmosphere is more serious or casual. but dont persue the relationship any further if you just dont feel comfortable with it at all.

Well if you like him then go out with him on a date and you learn from that experience on whether you like him any more than what you did and then determine if you would like to go out with him again or just give up liking him.
It would probably solve you from liking him on and off lately. |

You need to be sure about how you feel. Also you two could just go on a casual date. Nothing serious. So then you can get a better idea if you want to be with him.

ffs It's fine to come ask here. So many people need reassurance and coming to an online place that's got a lot of friendly people with helpful opinions is nothing to be flamed for.
IMO start dating him and see how things go. If you really can't stand to be around him for extended periods of time, then you probably aren't meant to be. If you find yourself always happy to be around him, and you like how things are going with him, then perhaps you are indeed meant to be. |

Well, You say your liking him on and off so that means you have some feelings for him. I would say go for it because if you don't and he asks someone else and then they say yes and then you realize you do like him then theres nothing you can do. Right now you have your chance to see if these are pretty strong feelings. Start slow, like going out to dinner or to a movie or inviting him over your house or his house. If you don't want be alone then find someone to double with. It better to double with someone who just starting a relationship like you might be vs someone who's in a long term relationship already. Theres really nothing to loose and then you can get out right away if you don't want be in it.

i'm pretty sure i do like him.
today in chorus, we had to ballroom dance. my band director put him with this other chick and i was extremely jelous(sp?). |

Well it sounds like you really like him, so go for it! The date doesn't have to be anything serious, and it'll give you a chance to get to know him better.

Go on a casual date like bowling or something and see if you really do like him. It also gives you a chance to know him better and REALLY like him. If you dont, im sure he will understand. I wouldent exactly "date" him though unless your positive your sure that you like him, and could see yourself with him.
For the ballroom dancing, jelous, thing thats maybe like the first step to likeing him. |
