Okay, I'm not sure if there is already a bulletin similar to this but this is what I want to know:
I'v been going out with my BF for about a month now. I'v always been questioning the age diffrence. I'm 15 and hes 19. I am also aware about underage dating. I have not told my parents yet. Do you think think this is too much age diffrence? I really like him and I know he likes me. I know he doesn't want to use me because the realtionship is long distance and he is willing to make the commitment of calling me. I live in New Jersey and He lives in Florida. He used to live in New York and we were friends before he moved. We both agreed to see each other every so often. |

Have you ever met him?
From an outsider's point of view, it looks like he's just in it so he might be able to get some. Especially since it's only been a month. And the fact that you're a YOUNG minor makes it look even worse. |

Yeah the minute you tell your rents their gonna flip. see my last boyfriend is almost 19 and I'm 16 so that's three years but my rents know that he's a good guy cause we've known each other since before I can remember. He was just always a part of my life. that plus he's never had a real girlfriend so his libido is WAY under developed.

Well at first I guess it sounds like a big age difference....but if you think about it, it's only 4 years. Maybe it's because you're young...when you get older, the age difference won't seem like such a big deal.

wow.. my friend shes like 16 but her boyfriend is like about i think 20 but her parents doesnt really mind sooo i guess its okay???

Well it depends, you said that you were friends before so did your parents ever meet him? If they liked him and met him before he moved the chance is that they wont care as much as if it was some other guy with a four year age difference. Plus, i dont think calling you would be consitered a commitment.

of course age difference is not a problem! and a difference 4 years only? NOt a PROBLEM AT ALL!
but for long distances u have to try very hard to maintain ur relationship... so, anyway... best wishes to you.:) |
