Okay, I have tons of hair, it's thick, and plentiful.

But whenever I dry my hair, straighten it, and brush it there's hair all over the place after.

Is there anyway I could make my roots stronger or something?

It wouldn't bother me at all, but the hair all over the floor is such a hassle.

It's average to lose around 100 hairs a day, but if there's hair ALL over and you lose hair during the day it may be a sign of hair abuse (hah). You mentioned that you dry and straighten your hair... do you blow dry your hair? Because if you do it just might be the case that you're overworking your hair with all the heat. You should try to use a serum, if you don't already, when you use heat on your hair. It will protect the hair better.

Well from reading and stuff not to sound like a smartass laugh.gif but you on average lose around 200 hairs a day. I personally think I lose more than that but hey _smile.gif I remember in math class today all I did was run my fingers through my hair a few times and happend to look down at my desk and there was about 10 pieces of hair.

but yea nothing to worry about Dear _smile.gif

Uh, yeah their is ^,not to sound like a smartass but when you dye (straighten or blowdry) your hair alot you start to lose alot of hair. This happened to my frined. She had to go to the doctor and get a special shampoo to help make her hair strong again (she started losing ALOT of hair and was starting to get blad spots.) I would recommend that you cut down a little on dying your hair, blowdrying it and straightning it. Also its normal to lose about 100-200 hairs a day.

That happens to me too. Hair all over the place when I straighten my hair & it sucks. But I have a lot of hair & it's really thick so I don't really care if it falls off....

I use Garnier Fructis's "long and strong" hair serum occassionally. It works for me, prevents shedding lol.

Change shampoos. Get one that's specially formulated to be strengthening.
Cut back on the heat and give your hair a break... especially if you blow dry / straighten your hair on a daily basis. When you do blow dry, use a anti-heat protectant product on your hair so it won't be fried.

Well my hair is very fine....so I'm always losing it when I brush it, wash it etc. Thankfully, though, it grows really fast!
