--> Relationships.

I think there was a topic similar to this. Not sure. I'm too sleepy to dig it up. It would be nice if someone did though. thumbsup.gif

My parents overall tried to be strict with me but I was too much of an rebel to handle. At the age of 8 I would be out sometimes to 10 pm. Even at 14 I would stay out until midnight.

So I think they eventually gave up on trying to control me. I'm just a wild spirit which can not be tamed.

My parents aren't that overprotective. They're not lame, either. Sometimes, they might get on my nerves, but they don't bother me too much about staying out late or anything.

My mom randomly kicks me out of the house and tells me to stay with my boyfriend

and sometimes my moms yells at me for being out pass 11. (cause im not with my boyfriend)

I have no curfew when I'm with my boyfriend and I can sleep over his house. But I have a curfew with everyone else.
And 'FTW' My mom has never met my tattooed 6'2 big spanish boyfriend

My parents don't really set a late time, they just tell me I should go to bed but I usually idle more before going to bed. They usually let me go to most places, but for some reason they don't like me going to the mall just with friends cause apparently, my mother doesn't exactly trust them.

well, it is their house...generally, I go to bed whenever I want, my mom just doesn't want me out untill God knows when....If there's someting I'm going to do, like go out to a party, or dance or whatever, as long as someone brings me home, she doesn't care when I come back.
when I'm not going anywhere...sometime, my mom's just like "Julia, go to bed!" cause she's tired of me. happy.gif

I feel my parents are really lenient with me because they know I'm not the type to go out, get wasted and come back at 6AM in the morning or something. They're cool. :)

When I first started going out, though, like when I was 13, they'd make me come back by like... 5:30. ;S

My brother's 19, just finished his freshman year of college, and my parents still dictate when he's allowed to go out and how late and shit like that... it's really stupid...

but they're even worse w/ me than they ever were with him. They ban me from seeing friends just cuz they don't like them, they make me come home by like... 9:30 on weekends, they don't let me spend the night out EVER.
But in 486? days... something like that. I'll be out of the house and I'll never see them again.

Just tell them you're going to sleep, then leave. If you live away from home, that shouldn't be a problem.

Well, I'm not very sure how late is late to my parents considering I'v never been out too late. I try to go out during the day instead so that they don't start getting nosey. When it comes to guys my parents get very annoying. If they see me talking with one guy they will start asking who that person is and blah. Oh and you can't forget when my parents check my myspace. They will literally go to my myspace page and look at it and see whats happening in my life. Thats the worst.

My mother is overprotective but she lives in England. I'm currently living with my dad and my sister. I hardly ever see my father and my sister well ... isn't a parent.

I can do practically what I want. Trust me, it isn't as fun as you think it is. Having someone worrying over you ... ? I'd kill to have that.

I feel like my parents are lame when I compare them with my friends, for my friends it seems so easy. They just walk outa the house when they want, telling their parents "im going out", parents "k, be back by 12". No questions asked.

Me, They DO let me go out a LOT and come back when I want, but it takes heckalot of bargaining and explaining.

But then I just think of all the freedoms I have right NOW=car/creditcard/phone/out till 1+/ etc and I'm happy. =)

As long as you're in their place, you have to live by their rules. You can, however, remind them that you're about to be a 2nd year college student and they have to loosen up just a bit. You are an adult after all and you're going to screw up regardless of whether they're their bothering your or not. Shit happens and it's as simple as that.
