Well, I'm pretty sure we'll never be able to prove that there is or was ever a God. In the way I see it, evolution doesn't seem logical to me. Sure, we evolved from primates but who put them there in the first place? We didnt just poof on earth.

Prove to me that there is one.

Oh wait, I didn't read the entire thread. But yeah, just because I don't believe in the idea that someone made everything and our lives are in his plan doesn't mean I don't believe in miracles. People need a reason to live their lives and faith to keep going I guess even if it is bullshit like some of the cults you see around.

What are you 5? No, we didnt just "poof" on earth. That's not how evolution works. Now sure, we can go all the way back to single celled organisms and question where they came from, nobody knows and most likely ever will know but the most accepted theory in the world of science is the big bang theory, that hundreds of billions of years ago, some cataclysmic event occured which created the universe, which created all the planets. If you want to go even further, there is the theory that we are infinitely smaller than we believe, that the entire universe could exist within something like a blade of grass or a saltwater taffy, who the hell knows. It is completely pointless to debate the start of our existence but to me, the big bang seems a hell of a lot more realistic than the idea of creation. If anything, some guy a few thousand years ago was thinking this same thing and decided, "huh, I'll just say some guy snapped his fingers and poof, we were here." That's the funniest thing about creationists. They refuse to believe that we just evolved from inferior organisms, their biggest argument being "Well, they didnt just appear there" yet their rebuttal is "Well, god decided to put people and animals in the world and it became so." So you do believe we just "poof" came into existence. And for all the whole "oh god created the universe, it didnt just appear" shit, there hasnt been much "Okay, well where the hell did God come from?" argument from our side, mainly because creationists are so stupid(they really friggin are) that the answer is always the same. "No one created God, he's just always been there." Wow. So you will completely believe that, but the idea of the Big Bang is just so completely illogical. Idiots. f**kin Finks.

I'm for both sides of creation and evolution. Sure, we've evolved from these organisms and they've evolved from those organisms and so on. But the neverending questions will be, where did we all come from? The big bang theory, the universe, how would it have been there if it wasn't all set up some how. But then again, we weren't there millions of years ago when all of this happened.

^ That's what science tries to explain. The Big Bang wasn't 'set up', it just happened: The universe used to be one, concentrated mass and then it 'exploded' around 15 mya; hurling matter into space, which was later pulled by gravity to form galaxies, stars, and eventually, planets. Prior to the Big Bang, there was no time, gravity, space or energy... according to Einstein's theory of relativity. The Big Bang is seen as 'The Beginning'.

You can't prove a negative. It's impossible.

You can only say that something is "Very Likely" to not be true.

You can, however, prove a positive.

i dont think anyone could prove there isnt a god
and i dont think anyone could prove there is a god

there are so many different religions out there
who is the right religion?
no one can exactly prove there religion is right or wrong
if a person believes and has faith in their religion, they will back it up
and wont believe anything that anyone else says
so no one could be right

im atheist, but i am not saying everyone else is wrong
who knows
maybe there is a god
and maybe there isnt.

Exact-o-f**king-ly. You can't prove anything over the internet unless it's in a face-to-face conversation.

So if they are stupid, then why did you make one?
This thread is full of fail. You can easily doctor things on the internet and make it look authentic. You can use big words and attack the other person's intellect/speech in person and make them look like an ignoramus. Too many variables. I do believe that god is within human comprehension, but not necessarily any of the gods that are preached. GL proving any of it though. Disproving would be equally as hard, as there are no guidelines that dictate that a god either exists or doesn't exist.

Yeah, OK, well, what it said in his paragraph is, "Where did God come from?" That is just as neverending, but good try.

I don't think we as humans will EVER be able to prove or disprove the existence of God. I think it's way beyond our comprehension.

nicely said :]

there is plenty of evidence that supports His existence and some that disproves it...i think its up to each person and the state of his/her heart.

Do you want to feel the force of GOD??
.

.

.

Well, good, get to magnets, place each in both hands and hold them up, have them facing each other, bring them close, don't let them touch, and you feel a tug-oh-war type force, you might want to grip them tight, they might slip out your hands.

Now to proved that there is a god, Nobody can't but I can sure try, just look in the mirror, you are a blessing, no man can make another you, you is uniquely and wonderfully made.

How in the world are magnets proof of God? Magnetism is a scientific study. It has all of its basis in reason, logic, and observation; pulling from data to prove a hypothesis. The force you feel is due to the opposing charges on either end. If you face the positively-charged side to the negatively-charged side of the other magnet, they will stick together. If you face both sides with the same charge to eachother, they will repel eachother. That's very simple science, not a miracle.

No, you don't get it, You is the miracle, the magnet is the force of God, ( I just believe the force of the magnet is the force of god, just look at nature and you see god, look in the mirror) can you really explain why magnet sticks together?? you can try, science can try.

First of all, are you just personifying science when you say "science can try"?

Have you ever heard of magnetic fields?
If you would ever spend time to read this: http://my.execpc.com/~rhoadley/magwhy.htm, then you might understand.

I was not referring to the positive or negative response between the magnetic fields or the scientific logic that was explain in science class. I was trying to have a critical conversation with you, and with an open mind. Can you explain the unseen forces within the magnetic field to me? I don't mean how it works, I mean where does it come from? If your so smart, you will be smarter than anybody in the world. You do not have all the answers to all life's mysteries.

PS. Science is not always a Fact for a example, How do scientist really know how far the nearest solar system is? When you can't measure the universe by light beams or any other means, just by standing on this planet.

Have a nice day

I saw a little boy who was maybe 6 or seven with an incurable skin disease that made his skin look like sand. His skin jutted out in points and and wrinkled in horrible disfugured ways. This boy is too young to have commited any offense that warranted this type of punishment. There is no God. How about this. Prove there is a God. That's why I hate this f**kin site. It's full of a bunch of stupid Asian preteen know-it-alls desperate for some form of social conversation who pick obvious debate tactics and choose simple topics because they are unable to create any original ideas. Finish the 8th grade and then come back. Till then, stop bitching and step down from your goddamn soapbox. You're gay.

P.S.: Most of the ideas in this post are from Christian friends of mine. You will never win anyone over to Christ over the f**kin internet dumbass. My christian friend said to suck his dick, after which you will see the light of christ...dripping over your face.

You need a lot of help, honey.

Let me just throw this out there. I'm an Atheist, and I'm perfectly content with that.

I think this is just about the worst topic that could possibly be created. What do you think will come from this debate except frustration, hurt feelings and clashing egos?

The truth is, God can not be PROVEN or DISPROVEN. So good luck with your arguments because none of them are valid.

Because your views are different that dosent mean other peoples views our stupid. This topic is to major for some of you, looking at y'all comments, they are the most closed minded, this thread didn't prove anything, STOP PUTTING PEOPLE DOWN!
