so yeah, i was wondering what's better coverage wise .. liquid foundation or the mineral stuff? 'cause i've been debating whether if i should switch to mineral 'cause the liquid stuff doesn't seem to work very well, and those infomercials about bare minerals and the other mineral brands seem to be promising. so i just wanted to get your opinion on it.

thanks. :)

It really depends on your skintype.

To elaborate more~
Dry skin will probably look better with a moisturizing liquid foundation OR mineral powder + moisturizing, tinted sun-protection lotion over /under it. If your skin is dry, mineral powder by itself will make every little flake on your skin show up more.

Oily skin is great for mineral powder, because the powder will cover up the oiliness and help your skin.

Honestly, I use neither. I have near-perfect skin (according to Clinique), so I use Perfectly Real Compact Make-up by Clinique, and it makes my skin look almost flawless naked. I adore it. If you have really clean, but a little dry skin (like mine), then I suggest the Clinique stuff. Just put a teeny bit of Revlon shimmering lotion over your cheeks and dryer spots (after the foundation), and your skin looks great :)

Skin type does play a key role, but I DEFINITELY prefer the mineral powder. I've worn both, but I noticed that with liquid foundation, my pores got a little bit clogged. I broke up more.

Mineral makeup is supposed to help or skin, as I have been told. It actually helped my skin and provided enough coverage. :P

But it is true about your skin type because if your face is oily, I would suggest mineral powder because liquid foundation could cause breakouts. Certain parts of my face was oily and I did get some pimples there -- NASTY ONES! pinch.gif

Nowadays, the only makeup I wear is some eyeshadow, if I'm not lazy. I don't know if liquid foundation would still give me the same problems anymore, since I hardly break out anymore. _smile.gif
