Hey I have the problem that my IE is still messing up...I have run Norton, Spybot, adaware, CWS shredder, and hijackthis... and I do not know what the problem is...it seems that it has effected my computer as well... for instance... my computer will never restart or shut down properly, this blue screen usually appears and the coputer shows that its still working but nothing is happening..and I hit ctrl alt delete and it seems that programs are not shutting down as they are supposed to... as for the IE... when I try to type something, as in Hotmail, it keeps messing up like my yahoo popup blocker will keep blocking stuff and also when IE is closed it will still start blocking stuff..I have no clue what is wrong with my computer....I need some help! cry.gif ermm.gif

Mozilla runs better, automatically blocks unnecessary pop ups, more organized

why?

It runs a lot better then IE and has so many more features, and never breaks down or has problems like IE

Check out http://www.mozilla.org/download.html

I hope you figure out your problems soon! Pop ups should be banned from the internet.

Mozilla does not suck. You obviously don't know jack about browsers if you say Mozilla sucks compared to IE. I use Firefox, though.

it might not be just a browser problem you're experiencing since you said your pc is not shutting down properly and you're getting the "blue screen of death" sometimes. your windows installation may have been corrupted or you have a software conflict on your system. what programs do you run on startup? it might be a program crashing your system. if i were you i would first backup all your important data to another drive other than the one windows is installed on. update your antivirus, adware, spybot, etc. and run them again. do a complete defrag and run only the programs you absolutely need on your system. everything else i'd uninstall. if all else fails, reformat the drive as a last resort. and then if that still doesn't work, you may be dealing with a hardware issue instead.

I use Mozilla once in a while, but I mainly use MyIE2. Its interface is very similar to that of IE but it has tabbed windows and a popup blocker.

Plus your problem might be fixed by downloading some Microsoft updates. I heard that lately a LOT of security holes have been found in IE.

myIE2 has the same security problems as regualar IE. And we all know long it takes for microsoft to patch this stuff. still waiting for SP2.
