My boyfriend and I are gettin tired of always just chillin at home with the TV, or the music. We can't just go lay under the stars or do a whole lot of hte evening outdoorsy stuff other than going for a walk, becuase the snows not gone and even if it was, this time of year everything is still VERRY wet.
Anybody got any suggestions as to how we could fill up our Saturday night, because we need something to do and we dont have anything to do here. (Not even a movie theater _dry.gif )

Any suggestions are welcome.

You mean something outdoorsy? Well, if you live near the coast, maybe go for a walk on the beach?

Woah, you dont have a theatre or anything like that near by? Daaang. How far is one? pinch.gif

We just need something to do, indoors or outdoors. We've done the movie thing, we've done music and chillin out talking thing, and we've even made smores on his fires in his yard when they were slashburning.
We live in this little mill town in themiddle of nowhere, the nearest theatre is in the nearest city which is 2 hours away lol.

I need somehting inventive, but even just being outside can be tricky because of the water fromt he melting snow.

Take advantage of the bad weather. If it's raining, put on some raincoats and boots and stuff play in the rain. If it's snowing, put on winter clothes and build a snowman or have a snowball fight.

blink.gif wow it must be a small town to not even have a theatre...

A cooking night would be fun as someone else mentioned. Or you could have a classic board game night?

Get some waterguns and go nuts.
Or have a barbeque in the middle of all the cold and wet.
Put trashbags on the ground, put towels on the trashbags, and have a picnic. Act sophisticated. Talk with an accent and play monopoly.
Try and set things on fire or draw chalk pictures on wet concrete.

Incorporate them all. thumbsup.gif

Embrace the weather, instead of fighting it-
Go out in raincoats, boots, etc. and take a walk anyways. Bring a camera and photograph everything. Kick puddles at each other, or throw snow in each others' faces if there's still enough snow left over. Can you guys go out to a park or something? Sit on a bench and talk the day away. Then when you go back inside, make hot chocolate or something, and have a movie marathon- or a boardgame marathon, as somebody said, or just look over all the pictures you guys took throughout the day.

heylo...
well i can relate cuz i live in a 1500 person town and the nearest theatre is in the city an hour away. our town has NOTHING ...oh wait... we do have a farmers market on saturday, but, you know . . . theres only so much you can do there!
i actually live 5km from town in the ol' wilderness, and my bf lives in town so we have had t invent a few things to keep us busy.
okay, well first of all rain or shine, snow or slush either he or i makes the 5 km walk pretty much every weekend to see one or the other. SO IT CAN BE DONE. dont let the rain stop you... sometimes its fun to get a little cold&wet just so you both can huddle under a blanket afterwards with a cup of hot chocolate.
lets see...
my bf is very creative so he made this truth or dare game, and we recorded it as we played it... VERY FUN... except, you know, when he goes and shows his friends the part when im singing some song from a musical and doing all the actions... lol
-oh, but if u do live in a small town with a farmers market check it out... they might have an unusual booth. at ours we have ethiopian foo, so he and i will go occasionally to eat and try some of what id call exotic foods.
hmm... sometimes just chilling and talking is great and a conversation can last for hours . . .
if you are in highschool, check out what the grads are doing to faise funds. there is at least 1 event going on or coming up. we have a casino night this week at our and its a formal event so we are getting dressed up and are going...
just because you live in a small town doesnt mean you have to think small... there is a LOT of great things to do...
anyway. hope ive helped a bit.

Yeah, same situation here only hes out of town. We manage to find ways to get in or out to see eachother all the time, people are really supportive and give us rides and such. Only difference is we're not so good at the inventiveness.
I think our conversation is all that keeps us going right now lol...we're good at the talking for a longlong time lol.

And to everyone, you have definatly helped out a bit. Not only did you give me some ideas, but you've also got my mind working a little. Im sure we'll figure out some stuff to do in the future, and summers just around the corner, i have a feeling that will make things a little easier. We're summer people so it should work out.
