This needs to be closed dudes, since posting pictures of a school shooter is insensitive.

I hope you guys are writing letters to every news outlet telling them that they are insensitive and that they should stop selling their newspapers/broadcasting/running their websites.

Cause it's insensitive.

It's less mistakes and more along the lines of "look at this guy here and let me show him my awesome mod skills!"

I appreciate the critique. I just wish we could talk to each other on a mature level here. It seems like all your posts come off in a condescending way, an that you're trying to talk down to us instead of trying to help the situation. It could be just me. shrug.gif

Actually it seems like you guys are the ones who are trying to shift focus away from the issue instead of helping.

It's hard not to be condescending when I can't get a straight answer and the mods are doing everything they can NOT to help.

QUOTE
Understood. But is there a reason why a new thread has to be created every time? No, we're not going do delete the Feedback Section (nor are we going to delete Feedback threads), but please explain to me why you can't post in the Moderator Feedback thread?

Making thread after thread isn't going to further prove your point, or make your criticisms more profound. Essentially your criticisms will end up feeling splintered and make addressing your issues that much more of a longer process.

Yes, because otherwise you guys won't respond. This ensures I get your attention, and clearly it's been working, even though you guys are trying to avoid it.

QUOTE
We're all ready, willing and able to be "called out" on our mistakes. And no, we're not hounding anyone. We see something, we look at the rules and we make a judgment call based on those rules.

QUOTE
And I'm sorry, but we're going to make mistakes. We try to do our best but ultimately mistakes will happen. If you were to attempt to try to be cordial and communicate in a respectful and calm manner it would make things so much more efficient. No one wants to make your time here miserable, uncomfortable or dissatisfying, but you have to understand that we are all trying.

So why are the same mistakes made toward the same person?

Again, I'm way past the point of being calm. It's all your fault for this.

Try harder.

Anyway back on topic, tell me why my threads were closed.

It's all my fault? Or did you mean that in general?

I just finished reading through this:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=174209

&sigh (if I may). That thread absolutely should have been inquired about before closing. However, it is difficult to send you a PM when you refuse to clear out your Inbox.

And don't ask me to "try harder." You are not my superior in any way, shape or form. I will respond to you, when I am here and as soon as it is possible. You can communicate with people without the condescending tone.

I apologize if that sounds too strong.

I can't really say the real reason why they might of been closed because I wasn't the one who closed them, but I think I can get the jist of why it might've been. There is a difference in informing the truth and mocking it. Judging from the previous topics you've made, the content seems to be a little offensive to the whole Virginia Tech event. As to why so many of them were shut down, probably because you made several topics all relating to one thing. It just seems to me like you have a problem with the whole line of staff. As stated before, you can refer to the Moderator feedback thread.

In general, but you bear additional responsibility since you were/are a headstaff/admin.

As I've been saying backstage, when in doubt, err on the side of leniency. You guys are always assuming and jumping the gun.

You are responsible for managing the staff. If one member of the staff has made three mistakes in like one week targeting, I have every right to point out that there is something wrong here.

I used to make polite suggestions, but they were ignored. I'll be polite again when you guys deserve to have me talk polite to you. But for now, you should be thankful with what you're getting.

Like it or not, the onus is on YOU, not me, to facilitate constructive discussion pertaining to these matters. If you can prove that you'll be receptive to ideas and criticism, then we can have more nice chats in the future. If you can't, well then the least I can say is that it's going to go downhill from here.

Yeah, it doesn't look like you know what you're talking about.

Anyway, stop bringing this off topic. There's still one more thread that needs to be opened.

Has anyone considered that the mods woul db eless likely to be 'facist' if people didn't go out of their way to cause difficulties just to make and then reiterate a point which has been understood several times over and is now merely making the members concerned look ridiculous?

And then it turned out I was right.

Are you referring to this topic?

If so, then no, it does not need to be reopened. There is no need to stir up unnecessary conflict and controversy by posting pictures of shootings. They also violate PG13 guidelines. By all means, discuss it. There's a gun topic all ready for you guys to do so in (in the Debate Forum), but no pictures of that please.

How is that not PG-13? Indiana Jones was rated PG and they had the Nazi's face completely melt off!

There's plenty of controversy in other topics. The debate topics are the definition of controversy.

I'm sorry, Kyro, but no. I appreciate the PG13 film comparison, but those images were not of those killed in real life. I'm sorry. Please feel free to discuss the shootings, but no, you may not keep a thread for the exclusive reason of posting those types of images. Besides the PG13 issues, it stirs up unnecessary conflict and controversy.

Subjectively to some, no. But we can't control that. I am asking you to please drop this. If you really feel like you should continue fighting, by all means. I respect the passion you have in your convictions, but no, it isn't getting reopened.

I'm really sorry.

Wow, I can't believe the mods are acting like this.

You're not being very helpful.
