http://www.myspace.com/cold_entity

I need to add two boxes on either side of my myspace background picture with roughly the

same border thickness as the white border in the background picture. The box borders must

not touch the background picture border. Both boxes need to be as tall as the picture and

aligned on the left and right using as much of the space on the right and left. I also need to

add links in the left box for the contact box( just the links , centered in the box one under

another) , adding a comment(will not be shown on my profile), viewing my pictures, videos,

blogs, the rest of the space in the boxes is for descriptions which i'll type myself. All text and

borders must be white. If i left anything out it means i don't want any traces of it in my

myspace. I have a code allready that covers everything up. So it would need to work around

this. The only thing visible is the background picture.

^ To take your profile off private, you go to account settings > privacy settings, then you change the setting to everyone under 18 or something like that. Thats not part of the forum.

Basically what you need is two divs. The code and tutorial on them is here:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=142922

You cna start reading at Step 4 thats the only code you need to get that. Make sure you set your font color to white or something so that you can see the text when you position it. _smile.gif

cool, that gets the boxes and text set, all I really need to know now is how to have the links (pictures, blogs, videos, message me, add to friends, etc.) included in those boxes. Is there a certain script that defines text as a certain command (add friends =? add friends from contact box in a default setup)

CODE
<a href="URLHERE">TEXT</a>

Just place your url where I said to. Text, whatever you want there.
If you don't want the links you can just right click on the link you want to add then go to properties, then copy the url and paste it there.

Add friends is this url:
CODE
http://collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=invite.addfriend_verify&friendID=RAWRR&MyToken=2a939c67-8a47-4a9b-9369-f703ece528b6

Where I put RAWRR you have to put your friendID there.

You do realise that your account will be deleted for covering up the ad banner at the top of the page.
Move the div down.
It's a shame, it'll kinda ruin the look of your profile but it's better than no profile.

I've tried that div layout tutorial it just don't work, first of all it doesn't include the script to set the color of the div whatsoever so i wont know if the code worked or not since obviously i cant see it cause my background is black, so i guess i have to start from scratch, delete all the codes i currently have, which i'll have to retype again in order to get rid of everything again, all this trouble just to put 2 simple boxes.

The div tutorial works fine. To add a color you add the color either in your css or where all the other div properties are. (color: ####; before the "> if you didn't figure it out)

As I mentioned before you needed to change your overall font color. happy.gif
