Okay, I downloaded this program, CuteMap, so that I could do maps for my skins. I thought that it would be possible to do these maps on my backgrounds, and that the links would work, but they aren't... I was wondering if anyone knew what I was doing wrong, because I seem to be doing everything right as far as I know... thanks for your help!

The img maps have to be for images, it doesnt work on background images.

But what about this person's xanga? If you see, she has a navigation image map on her background... like, she used her background for the target. Just... how do I make it so that I can make an img map outside of my Custom Header/Banner place?

What I'm trying to figure out is how did you get a navigation image map on your background as in I want to make a background image that includes the navigation text on the background that will work. I just don't know how or where to put the code because when I do my background shows up twice, once as my background and also in my banner. The one in my banner is the one where the "hot spots" work...I want my background navigation to work instead.

i'm pretty sure the image isn't a background, the background is blue... the mapping is still on an image, if u chek out the source

Okay, what I am saying is, I am mapping it on an IMAGE but using the IMAGE as a BACKGROUND. But when I do that, it doesn't work. How do you put your image in the background without making it the background?

ehh the concealed emotions kid..well that isn't a background...its an image. the blue is the background. and yah waccoon did make a tutorial. goto >>webdesign chat >>tutorials....
ehh and i odn't think you need a speacial program to find the coordinates for image mapping..you can just use pain or psp or something and put the coordinates in the code |

You don't understand... I know how to image map! I've done it several times now. But the thing is, I am having trouble positioning it on my layout, so I just put it in my background. But when I do that, the links don't work... I don't understand why it doesn't work...
