EDWARD CULLEN!!!!!!!!!!

I though MyMichelle's idea was great, a club for people who love Edward Cullen. Because really, who DOESN'T love him.

ABOUT EDWARD CULLEN
(Taken from Twilight Lexicon.)

Date of birth: June 20, 1901

Date of change into a vampire: 1918

Source of change: Carlisle Cullen

Originally from: Chicago, IL

Hair color: Bronze

Eye color: Originally green, now vampire gold/black

Physical description: Lanky, not bulky, boyish looking with untidy hair

Special talents: Mind reader

Hobbies: Collects cars and plays piano

Cars he drives: Silver Volvo S60R and a silver Aston Martin V12

EDWARD CULLEN QUOTES
(Mostly my favorites. Feel free to share yours and I'll add them on here!)

"What if I'm not a superhero? What if I'm the bad guy?" (Twilight, page 92.)

"I decided as long as I was going to hell, I might as well do it thoroughly." (Twilight, page 87.)

"It makes me ... anxious ... to be away from you." (Twilight, page 188.)

"Yes, you are exactly my brand of heroin." (Twilight, page 268.)

"Bella, I couldn't live with myself if I ever hurt you. You don't know how it's tortured me. the thought of you, still, white, cold ... to never see you blush scarlet again, to never see that flash of intuition in your eyes when you see through my pretenses ... it would be unendurable. You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to me ever." (Twilight, page 273.)

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb." (Twilight, page 274.)

"What a sick, masochistic lion." (Twilight, page 274.)

"If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I'm not ashamed of it." (Twilight, page 294.)

"For almost ninety years I've walked among my kind, and yours ... all the time thinking I was complete in myself, not realizing what I was seeking. And not finding anything, because you weren't alive yet." (Twilight, page 304.)

"I may not be human, but I am a man." (Twilight, page 311.)

"You are my life now." (Twilight, page 314.)

"You inspired this one." (Twilight, page 326.)

"You have saved me." (Twilight, page 474.)

"You are my life. You're the only thing it would hurt me to lose." (Twilight, page 474.)

"Yes, it is enough. Enough for forever." (Twilight, page 498.)

"Well, I wasn't going to live without you." (New Moon, page 19.)

"Bella, I can't live in a world where you don't exist." (New Moon, page 509.)

"But how could you believe me? After all the thousand times I've told you I love you, how could you let one word break your faith in me?" (New Moon, page 510.)

"I could see it in your eyes, that you honestly believed that I didn't want you anymore. The most absurd, ridiculous concept---as if there were any way that I could exist without needing you" (New Moon, page 510.)

"I'm here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn't want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy." (New Moon, page 510.)

"Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars---points of light and reason ... And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything." (New Moon, page 514.)

"It was like my heart was gone---like I was hollow. Like I'd left everything that was inside me here with you." (New Moon, page 515.)

"Your hold is permanent and unbreakable. Never doubt that." (New Moon, page 524.)

"You're wounding my ego, Bella. I just proposed to you, and you think it's a joke." (New Moon, page 540.)

POTENTIAL EDWARD CULLENS
(Feel free to name your Edward and I'll add him to the list.)

Gaspard Ulliel (My personal favorite. He IS Edward. And um, the scar on his left cheek makes the smile look a little crooked, DOESN'T IT?!?!?!)

Henry Cavill (Stephenie Meyer's choice.)

Hugh Dancy (Though I think he's gorg, I think he's just a bit too old.)

Drew Fuller (I don't even know who he is.)

Robert Pattinson (I guess I could see it.)

Twilight and New Moon are in the YA section and they're there for a reason. Some parts are just really corny and sappy and make you want to pull your hair out. But I think it's worth a read. If only for Edward Cullen. <3

You guys have me totally curious about this series now.

If any of you have read the Vampire Chronicles (Anne Rice), would have any comparison(s)? I've found that Anne Rice tends to linger too often on ambience and would have rather her focus more on characterizations.

Anne Rice's novels are for much, much more mature readers and are usually for more 'hardcore' vampire fans.

Twilight is good for all readers because it does not hold as much vampire culture and tradition as Anne Rice's books. Twilight is more of a romance novel.

I enjoy both series. I think Anne Rice is much more worth re-reading than Twilight, though. :)
And I still adore Edward Cullen, the most wonderful vamp boy.

Oh ok. So I'm getting the impression that both series are good, but Twilight could be considered more or less, a lower calorie vampire series.

I ask, in part, because I've been reading through this thread, looked on the net at some descriptions and got so incredibly bored (and irriated) with "Eragon" (my brother bought it for me for Christmas) that I'm REALLY needing something fun to read.

That is, until Harry Potter arrives. wink.gif

Although I totally disagree with you on Eragon! I loved it.

I think you have to copy them into notepad and 'fix them' to where they're on the same line and then put them in.

That's what she said.

If I kept them on the same line, it would have stretched the forum.

Holy cow I want to join this!
This may sound weird, but for some reason after I read Twilight and New Moon I feel a little depressed.
Mainly because the books are WAY TOO good, if you ask me. So when they're over and done with I feel a little empty inside. :D
*coughs*ahem. . . but moving on:

Age: 18

Hobbies: reading, writing, drawing.

Contact: check the siggy.

Favorite character BESIDES Edward: I'd say Bella, because she has a stubborn side to her, which is quite fun to read about.

Why you like Edward: what's there NOT to like? I like the fact that he can be so powerful and yet be so unsure of himself at times, which makes him seem almost like a little kid.

So, therefore, GET THE f**k OUT.

Great! Thanks for the advice.

Apparently someone got sent a copy of New Moon with the Eclipse chapter in it today. Fandom explosion, needless to say.

There's a few bits of Edward goodness.

First of all, I'm Jess!

Age: 17
Hobbies: reading, singing, making icons, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.
Contact: it's in my signature if you mean website.
Favorite character BESIDES Edward: Jessica Stanley, because we have the exact same name. Just kidding, about the reasoning, though the name part is correct. Actually, I really like Alice. She just seems so personable.

Why you like Edward: ok, this is kind of crazy sounding, but I like Edward because of his personality. He's intoxicating, even through the book. I kind of fell in love with the idea of him.

Lord, the French prospective Edward is incredibly gorgeous!

In addition, I can't wait until the Edward version comes out!

Favorite character BESIDES Edward: If you mean within Twilight and New Moon, I'd have to say Allice Cullen; she seems like the most awesome "older sister" to Bella! Outside the two books, however, my favorite character is Mr.Darcy from Pride and Prejudice... _smile.gif
Why you like Edward: He's absolutley beautiful, yet has a "dark side" to him; he's a complex person, not just the school hottie. And can you say gentleman!?!? :D

I'm so excited for the next book... that I think I MAY be looking forward to it more than Harry Potter 7!

Yeah, it does seem kind of crazy since I sort of grew up with the HP books too. I guess it's just I haven't re-read the more recent books in a while... once I do I'll probably be all re-excited for the 7th book.

Did you read the 1st chapter of Edward's version of Twilight? :) It's gooooood.

So I finally got my hands on Twilight and New Moon (special edition throb.gif), and yes, they are amazing. I finished all of Twilight on Sunday and I'm a few chapters into New Moon.

Now I can say that, like Alysa, my favorite character aside from Edward is Alice. She's just so cool and I can imagine the graceful way she moves.
Needless to say, Edward is awesome. laugh.gif Bella's klutziness is also very endearing.

Gaspard Ulliel NEEDS to play Edward in the movie. Seriously. He's so much prettier than Henry Cavill and he's even got that crooked smile!

I can't believe what Bella has to go through at the beginning of New Moon... "It will be as if I never existed." =/
