tips in life ( a lot of these have to do with riding a mountain bike since I do that a lot)
Most of these tips have been experienced by me since i have a total lack of common sense sometimes..LOL well, i hope you learn from my [horrible] experiences... I'll post a new one everyday last but MOST IMPORTANT. NEVER TRY ANY OF THIS AT HOME! lol I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY, DEATH, or other adverse consequences that are a direct or indirect result of reading this post. LOL 1. When cornering on a bike, don't keep pedaling as fast as you can cuz then you'll have to lean to far, resulting in a crash into the curb or a total wipe out Personal Experience: so i was zooming along on my 26 inch, $88 mountain bike LOL at like 30 mph. and i had to turn left. but I saw some of the dudes from my class and i was like i know! i'm gonna zoom past them super-fast and leave their mouths hanging open! so i leaned into the turn, still pedaling superfast on gear3, little gear 7 which is the fastest speed you can get. but bikes just aren't designed to turn that fast, especially bikes with like 50 cent made in china tires.. well, basically i ended up clipping the curb with the front tire and almost survived not falling off I almost recovered but you know how there's the gutter part of the street and then the real street? yeah so there was a crack thing separating the two and i was still kinda leaning in the turn so the side of my tire hit it and then i like skidded off... |

If it says "Caution: Wet floor"; dont dash over the floor like you're trying to ice skate.. |

Ooh haha just remembered.. actual experience (happened to my friend):
In the mall, you know how they have security guards and escalators? Well.. turns out the two dont mix too well.. Whatever you do.. do not try to go in the opposite direction the escalator's going (ie. climbing up an escalator that's going down); especially not with 2 security guards behind you.. My friend did that.. erm.. we were treated to a nice lecture on proper behavior and threatened with 2 months community service if another incident occured.. |
