Ladies, I need your voice on this one because I plan on getting to know this girl who is a couple years older and most likely more mature than me so I'd like to get feminine pov's. So what do you think about it and what would you do?

^lol. Okay, hahahaz.

Hey doesn't it get weird when you hang out with each others' friends because of the different ages?

Somewhat, but if you act normal and don't say childish things when your talking then it's not that bad:]

ps-how old are you?

I've been with a guy ten years younger. Before you gasp, I was 30 at the time. I really wouldn't recommend *that* much of an age gap though. For one thing, as the older of the pair (and female), I felt like Mrs. Robinson. He was great and all (sort of, long story) but he just wasn't at all mature enough to handle me or my life.

If it's a few years difference, it really shouldn't be a big deal. It always depends on the person.

I'm 20 and just recently met this really nice short girl. I didn't ask her age at all but I do know she graduated earlier than me and btw she dresses, she's def. mature. Pretty intimidating now that I think about it. Cheers.

Very cute!

Just make sure you STAY YOURSELF! Also, try not to take things too seriously. I can tell you from firsthand experience, a big turn off (and why I would prefer not to go out with younger men anymore) is that they tend to get really sensitive and serious. Keep it light and fun.

I have.

And I never will again unless their maturity is above mine. I could never date someone who is less mature than I am in all regards.

Yes and I'll never do it again. He found it fun to laugh any time I said, Peanuts, Astronaut, Uranus, or something like that. It just annoyed me terribly and then his Grandma and little brother were always bugging us because I was his first girlfriend and so they thought their "Little boy was growing up" pinch.gif Gosh that was annoying. And then he kept treating me like just one of the guys.

^same!!

i think it's worth giving it a try. now that you're out of high school, a few years (how many years is a few years... the age difference between you and this woman, anyways?) shouldn't make a terrible impact on your relationship. just don't rush into trying to force a very serious relationship very fast...

Let me see. She graduated like three years before I did so about 2 or 3 years and wow she's gorgeous. Oops. lol. My fault, that came out of nowhere. Can't help it.

A couple years older??

Ehh. probably not.

Depending how mature you act.

I wouldnt date a guy younger because most of them have squeaky voices, but if I was older and the guy was mature and all I would

Another note is that guys mature slower than girls do. Therefore, even if I date someone my age, it is highly likely that their maturity level is STILL below mine. ew! haha

Possibly. A year younger is no big deal. And then on the other end of things, no more than two years older at my age now. But I guess the older you are, the less age is an issue. I just prefer guys a teeeny bit older. A year or so. But, I wouldnt not date a guy just because he was a few months younger.

A couple years shouldn't be a big deal; it just depends on the people. I know plenty of 20 year olds that are more mature and I also know plenty of them that act like they are 12. In my opinion, it's worth a try. Maybe hang around her more before you date? Just to give you an idea of the maturity issue and such. Good luck!

I would, as long as the maturity level is the same as mine. I don't want to feel like I'm dating my younger cousin -_-

I personally never tried...my boyfriend is 2 months younger so that doesn't count XD But I know this girl who has dated this guy younger than her by one year and they're fine =)

It's all dependent on maturity levels

At this point... no. Because I'm 15, and 13 year old guys are usually even more immature and tend to be baby-ish looking. But when you get older like from 20's and up, age doesn't matter as much.

Like everyone else has said. It's down to the couple involved and the maturity level. You just gotta know when to chill out and have fun and when to be sensible and mature.

I usually date people younger than me because I am relatively old compared to others who are also sophomores like me. And for some reason I never get people older than me.
