I don't know if you guys know this, but A&F does NOT have little children making their clothes. Not sweatshops either. {Click.}

I never heard that "rumor" (for lack of better term?) about little children working for A&F.

Ironically, Wal-Mart themselves were fined for child labor.

I believe it was because of the designer Kathie Lee Gifford.

^ Woah, watch it. stubborn.gif I doubt it's not because they have money. Please think before you act. Must everyone appreciate the Abercrombie label? I don't think so. Some people like how they look and some don't like the looks. You know, we all have our own opinions, and to be honest with you, and not to bash, I think you're being a little..stuck up? Sorry if that's the wrong choice of words. I don't intend to be mean with you. But you can't expect everyone to love them. Otherwise this world be so absolutely cliche, with everyone looking like each other. Which it almost already is.

But i have nothing against the brands. They're pretty nice looking clothes and I wear it sometimes. I'll have to say though, about the jeans, just because they're "cut nicely" or whatever, it doesn't mean that it's still worth the sixty bucks you pay for them.

Oh, and regarding the Africa kids? They meant that people in Africa can barely afford any clothes, or even FOOD, while us people in America are throwing our money towards clothes such as those from A&F. When that amount of money is able to feed a family in Africa for probably at least week.

i used to hate abercrombie but i ended up working there and now all my paycheck goes to their clothes. in summation i hate abercrombie again for making me broke but i do love their clothes.

anyway, there's not helping where your clothes are manufactured or whatever. your computer was probably assembled in some third world country by childen 7-14. your computer desk, your curtains, your lamp, carpet. that's just how it is now. you can bitch and moan about africans starving and little kids suffering, but you still have the fruit of their labors and you are enjoying the luxuries that comes with it.

it used to be that way in this country 100 years ago but thanks for the progressives they were able to throw that out. other countries unfortunately haven't had the chance to change their system, but hopefully it will happen in the future.

this country prospers through their sufferings. that's part of the reason we're the #1 powerhouse of the world. i'm just stating facts. we can't do anything about the fact that the corporations that make our clothes, manufacture our goods, etc. utilize child/cheap labor. we can't help that that is the least of our government's concern. all you can really do is vote on it or become politically active? i don't know.

all we can really do is remain apathetic.. which is very sad.

i used to wrk at abercrombie. money earned didnt go back to them surprisingly lol. i had other people pay for my stuff cause it was around my birthday -=X. i loved them in high school and shopped there a lot but lately ive noticed their quality is bad -=/. theres a shirt i got that less than a month had a couple holes in it already. i love the store, but some things are just overpriced. the willingness to spend money on something isnt only based on whether or not the person can afford it, its if they really like it? is the quality that good to last through yrs for $80 a pair? the joys of being young and having parents support you, then get out into the world, hard reality slap.

I think you need to watch who you are calling gay.Its extreamly offencive to people who actualy are LGBT.

You cant force someone to like the same shit you do "hun".
And dont you dare sit there and tell me that im the one that cant afford crappily made clothes.
Ive been able to pay the the morgage on a house that in your american dollars is worth aproximately 500,000 dollars on time for the past 2 years with my own money by myself..I bring it up because I find it amazingly disrespectful that you would try to call people out for not being able to aford "garbage". 200 bucks for 5 items is ridicioulous to people even if they have money. So you deal with it.

abercrombie kids is shit quality

i used to be a strong advocate for AF, but it's sad how theyre jacking up prices like crazy because they have such a rabid and blind consumer base(ie. the maker of this thread) that are willing to pay any price for this culture that they have created (major run on sentence...).

I mean, why pay $200 for a pair of ezra fitch jeans when you can pay the same for a pair of Rock and Republics or Diesels?

I refuse to buy clothing from Abercrombie/Hollister. First of all, their clothes are crazy expensive, and the quality really isn't that good either. And second, because they're racist.

Uh... ok. I like AE clothes. outta all the other brands. aeropostale clothing shrinks. and the other two brands r too expensive.

& please don't attack me. i'm just voicing my opinion. ermm.gif

also about AE. that sales rack is CRAZY. I mean... if u really looking for tops that r 3 bucks and stuff. Thats the section of the store to go.

I got winter stuff (hat, gloves, scarfs) for my two best friends. So total of 6 items come up to about 18 bucks. Yeah... lol so i've been in love since.

How can you have dignity as an individual and use that much money to look like everyone else?

Hey, if it wasn't for Abercrombie and Hollister and AE and whatever store preps find trendy now, how would we know whether or not people are stupid by first glance? That's usually how I do it, if someone's decked out in Abercrombie, or any expensive brand, I don't bother talking to them, or I go into a conversation with the person already knowing that the person is shit dumb. If it wasn't for these stores, we'd only find out how dumb people were mid-conversation, when its too late.

Attack me if you want, it doesn't bother me. I don't consider the people who shop religiously at these stores and are proud of it as real people. If it were up to me, they'd be second or third class citizens. I just see them as vain money-gobbling creatures who should be smote in their early life.
