I just installed Firefox a couple of days ago. I love it more than IE.

IE was screwing up my edits here.

i don't even dare try surfing with IE. learned my lesson with that one. for some reason firefox fucks up a lot on me, it freezes more than IE on my comp so i started using maxthon. what i like about maxthon, the tabbed browsing if you right click the close option is on the top instead of on the bottom.

Me personally, I love the new internet explorer! But alot of people like firefox, I hated it. Explorer is way more user friendly and has all the best features of firefox, plus the new one covers 99-100% of the codes etc.

What you think?

It's not open source!

Probably not important to most people, but it's important to me.

Umm, yeah, there's already a topic on this.

IE7 definitely doesn't have all the best features of Firefox. The user interface of IE7 is too messed up and confusing (at least to me). And spell check? I don't think so.. Firefox is also "supposedly" safer and faster than IE.

Opera is awesomer. It's a lot more customizable than both Fx and IE, AND it has a built-in BitTorrent client. Plus, it was the first browser (that supports Windows) to pass the Acid2 test.

Opera > Firefox > IE.

Thanks Elaine.

I use Safari on my Macbook.
Safari is SO MUCH FASTER than Firefox at my house. I also like the design better. Also, I'm not sure if this would mean anything, but my dad's laptop with IE installed has wayyy slower internet... even if we're sitting together at the same spot in the house.

Firefox.
It's safer than IE, and it has extensions. (c'mon.. extensions!)
Also, Firefox renders coding better than IE. ^^ That's why your page can look different in both browsers..

Firefox: Internet explorer 7 is integrated too closely with the main windows exe ( explorer.exe). Pair that up with some loopholes and u have a nicely vulnerable system.

Firefox rules, cuz of the 'Recover Session' thing.

I'm creating an awards site and for some reason, whenever it's perfect in Firefox, it looks weird in IE and whenever it's perfect in IE, it's weird in Firefox.

I guess I COULD take the time and try to figure out how to make it the best in both worlds... or I could just see which browser most people use.

Firefox, IE, or other?

On a personal level, I'd say Firefox. It's just what I prefer.

However, I have yet to see any of my employers use anything else but IE.

I would really recommend finding a way to code the site for cross compatiblity. I'm sure someone here would help you if you needed it.

I use Firefox for the most part, but yeah I try to make sites compatible with both, although sometimes they still don't look the exact same on both browsers.
