QUOTE
The only reason why everyone is joining this stupid group is not because they really have a strong opinion about this whole thing. It's because they want to know what happened

With all due respect (sincerely), how can people form a strong opinion on it if they don't know what happened? I understand you're not in the position to tell, but I think someone should. :)

With that said, i'm still on no side. I do respect the mods, I just don't understand all of this.

Just a question. Isn't the point of this to KNOW what's going on, not just support Kaycee without reason? Isn't that what everyone is striking against? If those who know what really went on keep it shut as long as they live, cB staffers are just going to diminish and this place will turn into havoc.

QUOTE(Arjuna Capulong @ Apr 1 2007, 3:19 AM) *
Arjuna (ArjunaCapulong) has stepped down from his People Staff position.

QUOTE
Michelle (Mulder) has stepped down from her Livejournal staff position.

Oh you two, come on. I understand that you guys are feeling, I don't know the word...betrayed(?) by the demotion of Kaycee. But stepping down right now doesn't help much. This fight right now, is causing a rift between the staff, and between the staff and the community. Something that I don't think cB needs. I've PMed Kaycee and asked her about the situation, since I haven't been around much and right after I come back to cB, this is going on. And she doesn't want to discuss it. I understand that you want an explanation, but I don't think that splitting the staff onto 2 sides is boosting the morale of the community. (Probably not that the demotion and undisclosed explanation of Kaycee helps either..) I thought that Kaycee was a wonderful mod and a great person in general, but maybe she just needs some time to think, maybe the head staff and admin need some time before they feel like they can tell you what happened. And the two of you were amazing staff members, I just didn't feel like it was necessary for the two of you to step down.

This is harmful towards keeping the structure of this community together.

That was an interesting read. With hella people still on there will probably be more to entertain me for later on today.

To all the new people that came into the chat always asking why I no longer went on the forums? I don't need to say a damn thing. happy.gif

I'm stepping down so I don't have to deal with this s**t. Maybe it will get the point across that admins can't just get rid of someone because they feel like it and "don't want to discuss why". wtf, at least the staff should know...

What does stepping down have anything to do with the problem? It's not like it'll go away once you're not on staff anymore.

we're making a point. if you choose to ignore what's going on, then so be it, but I'm glad to know that some of us won't stand for this.

What????

Wouldn't you say the group that supports Kaycee is way bigger? You've got a thread full of people, and people by default are taking her side.

The only people really speaking out about it are me and Robbi
Because you guys were trying to avoid the discussion, remember? wink.gif

When? Unless you're talking about "until Kaycee testifies."

And well, that's not the case right now, is it.

Oh, I'm sure Kaycee will "explain" herself. But until then we're all supporting her.

It is the case, Arjuna. Cool it until she testifies. UNTIL. Are you cooling it? Are you cool?
QUOTE(kayceeisms @ Mar 31 2007, 1:47 PM) *
F**k this being dropped, it's already too big of a f**king issue because it wasn't fair, justified, or even reasonable.

This isn't drama, this is a f**king fight for a reasonable ending. I was given some shit reason for firing me, one that, I'm sure, had been applied to another more established mod would not be enough for demotion. And then I'm told to f**king keep it under wraps.

Well fine, I'll keep it under wraps. Why? Because it really is nobody's business. Even to the people that support me, and I'm so happy that ya'll are, but the reason is nobody's business and, I am completely sure about this;

NOT ENOUGH TO F**KING FIRE ME.
So you know what? We won't discuss the f**king reason. There's no point, because I don't even know why. I did something "really bad". Yeah, okay, I did some bad shit, but enough for demotion? What the f**k is that? They told me no explicit rule that I had broken; so why should I be fired?

Oh, yeah...I shouldn't of.

So now, not only can I not discuss the reason (or, you know, lack of reason) that I was fired, I can't discuss the fact that I was fired. Well, um, WHY THE HELL NOT? Because of hype?

Well, hype for a good Goddamn reason, then.

TRY AGAIN

Well, by god. Someone enlighten us so that then, and only then, we can all stop with the half-assed, half-knowledge-known generalizations.

And if not, well, hooked on phonics.

But still.

Well, you, and well, practically all of us, have talked ourselves up to the wall. We are all talking in circles, merely because we're all fueled by the little information that we know, except opposite for you because you know the story.

Everyone should have known that this wasn't going to go off easily. It's a demotion, for christs sake. And demotion WITHOUT a public cause. Thats like, a cocktail, for, say, a revolution.

Doesn't cB deserve that, whether we're a mod/admin or not?

who can tell us, that's what i'm confused about.
