Your blog layouts are different... and I don't really recognize the layouts. From what it looks like, you both really modified your coding. Can you post the codes that are on your friends site and yours please?

What you are looking at on your friends site is the old link to what the "Xanga Profile" used to be like. You could edit it in a completely different way than you do now, and since they uploaded and upgraded all of those new features a while ago, it's completely changed now. Your profile used to carry the same skin that your blog did. Now, it's completely different.

Notice when you click this link: here - it doesn't exist. This link is the same format as your profile link is. (profile.xanga.com/username)

Now, when you click this link: here - it links back to your profile. However, this is the same format as your friends link. (xanga.com/profile.aspx?user=yourusername)

Basically, I have a couple questions. Has your friend even messed with the updated profil page? If not, that's why her layout is "carrying over" into her profile page. Also, when did she join Xanga? Was it before or after the upgrade? This is a very wierd thing... and the same thing that happens to you, happens to me and my xanga... but I joined it after the upgrades. The other sites I had that I started a few years ago are like your friends.

humm... I'm not sure I understand. I have been on xanga for over a year but my friend only joined a few months after me. I'm not sure I understand about the whole updated profile thing. I don't think she has messed with it at all. Are you saying if she does then the format will change to like mine? Yuck! _dry.gif I was really hoping that I had just added some other code from another site inadvertently and just needed to get it for mine...

Ok, so if I understand you correctly, I can't do anything about this. Xanga just has it so that your profile page is the way it is now and no one can mess with it's style/layout.

Well, bummer! Thanks for your help, though....

^ Yeah, you got it. I'm not sure why that is, but ... it's wierd. The "New" profile page can't be changed at all....
