I wandered upon my friend's MySpace and his Books section had this book listed. From the amazon.com review I read, it seems interesting.

Has anyone read it? Is it good?

It is a wonderful, wonderful book. Possibly one of the few classics I have thoroughly enjoyed.

You feel like you grow up with the protagonist and it really gives you an authentic understanding of life in New York City in the early 1900s.

It covers a ton of social issues and family life. I really liked it. I'd definitely give it 5 stars.

^Me too. I loved this book, even though it seems that Francie's life is quite ordinary. It's so human and so real, so that makes it relateable.

READ IT!
