Beloved by Toni Morrison is so, freaking, beautiful. Yes, it's terrifying. Yes, it's depressing. Yes, it's graphic but Good God it's a masterpiece. Admittedly, this astonishment might not last the longest ever and may be just because I'm currently reading it, but while her writing style is so dense, Beloved is definitely going on my Top 10.
Ooooh, and I do want to watch the movie, but I hear it just doesn't do justice. ): Has anyone else read Beloved or anything else by Morrison? |
