We've all heard the infamous line "Nice Guys Finish Last" and wether you believe it or not, the world relies on that quote. The rude ignorant people intimidate others to gain power. We as a world fall victim to the "bad guys"
So.. are you a good guy or a bad guy??  This is pretty serious for the lounge...This post is directed to both genders |

OK, before we discuss this, let's attempt to define a "nice guy" and a "bad guy" -- any guy with at least a little bit of humanity inside him does not necessarily fit either category. It's far more complex than that.

I think there are nice guys and good guys. The nice guys are going to be stepped on, because they allow themselves to be. Relatioships should be a give and take and I think for the most part nice guy are the givers and whomever their with is usually the taker. Good guys are guys who can give and TAKE. I think nice guys are the guys who tend to lack self esteem, so they have to go and do other things to boost that self esteem, whereas good guys have respect for themselves but also respect the person their with (which is why they aren't bad guys)

i think nice guys are guys who think of others first and themselves last. the kinda guy whose incredibly sweet and attentive. nice guys are great as friends. but they tend to get overlooked or stepped on. |

What are we going to define a nice guy and a bad guy as? A nice guy in my definition is some one who is willing to do things for others. Those who take initiative. May be a little timid, but timid doesn't necessarily mean nice. Timidity means weakness. Maybe timid to a point, but isn't afraid to tell people what's wrong. Honest. Caring. A bad guy is some one who will do anything to get ahead. Prideful, shameless, and doesn't care about the little guy. So, as I've seen results of both of these, I would have to disagree with the on going trend. Reason: Nice guys often tend to do their work load and if anyone else is in need, he is there to help. Let's say we have a nice guy as a boss. It's been shown that a boss who exerts servitude has a better chance of having his workers put forth more effort. Why wouldn't you? You have a good guy boss. Bad guys don't necessarily get ahead. Yeah, they might for the short run, but in the end they what's coming for them. A nice swift kick in the ass. Stalin, Lenin, Mussilini, Hitler...all bad guys. Look where they are? Or I should say, what happened to them. So, what do you think? I really think this should be in the debate forum. I mean, we have people trying to define the variables and whose better. Seriously. |

So there's this boy...
and he's so sweet! omg, he is SO nice. and funny and sweet and holds doors open for girls and gives up his seat for girls standing and is totally respectful and nice and sweet and nice and sweet. He is SUCH a nice guy.  But I don't like him at all. Nope, not me. At all.  So basically, I like nice guys better than bad guys. Especially the nice ones that look like bad ones. If I was a guy I'd probably be a bad guy because I have no patience for anything
