My friends and I were talking the other day about excellent students and what about them made them so damn excellent; one of them was the fact that they raise their hands and ask questions a lot.

It's a very true fact that there are plenty of people who are too shy (or even too lazy) to ask questions during or after class, especially during. But really, guaranteed four out of five times, when someone asks a question, three other people were secretly wondering the same questions but didn't ask it. The excellent students aren't afraid to let anyone know they don't know something.

Do you raise your hand to ask questions?

I usually don't... lots of times it's because I can't really explain what I dont understand. I have more of a problem with answering questions then asking them, really.

I only ask questions two or three times a week or so.. And only for a subject like Math, Lab, or Global because those teachers are most likely to care about my questions instead of ignoring it.
But I don't really raise my hand. I usually call it out; it's become a habit of mine. XD.gif

Yeah I ask questions all the time, I'm pretty sure some teachers are annoyed by me.

Although sometims I ask really random questions. There's this time I asked whether it was going to rain today, and the teacher gave me a detention laugh.gif

HAHA JULIA

Actually, in my magnet classes at least, only stupid questions ask questions. I know it's horrible to dislike people for being stupid, but I can't STAND it when people who don't understand something ask five billion questions and hold up the whole class. They need to take their own time to do that.

Yes, I usually raise my hand when I don't get something. I know that if I don't, I'll fall behind and have tons of stuff to try to catch up on later.

I raise my hand sometimes to answer questions _unsure.gif I'm really shy, well not as shy as I used to be and I can't be one of those people who just yell out random stuff and the answers.

I usually don't have questions because I don't really pay attention in class.

Sometimes I do. It depends on what crowd of students I'm around. If they're laid back, yeah, I will. (They don't get annoyed.) But if I'm the dumbest one there...then no.

If I am in the class with smart people, I probably won't ask questions until after class because I would sound stupid.
If I am in a class with generally...dumb...people, I would ask questions.

I don't answer questions in class much because my teachers always call on me.

I don't ask questions at all. I figure it out eventually when I read over my notes or something. The 'smarter' kids in my classes don't really ask questions, actually. They're quite.. quiet. I ask stupid questions in PE sometimes, though.

For me, I'm usually waay to scared to ask the teacher and if I really need that question answered I'll go after class to ask the teacher. Or, ask my friend.

i only ask something if i absolutely cannot figure it out by myself. this is usually only in french class or sometimes history. otherwise, i`m pretty okay. answering.. idk i don`t really volunteer myself for answers much because i`m lazy.
i`m the type of person who does NO WORK but can come in any class, take a test and pass it.

There are some classes where I'm not afraid to ask, like math for instance. A lot of the time i don't always need help though. I kind of figure it out eventually.

Usually I dont', I'm the shy one that doesn't and hope for the best that someone asks the same one, if not, I'd wait till the teacher is near me and ask them. I hate asking questions during class and people are like ...I only ask them in certain classes, then go after class to ask.
