*sigh* So today I went to the dentist. He numbed the left side of my mouth with the biggest needle on earth. I thought the drilling would never end!! I had my mouth open for so long that I sprained my jaw and he had to perscribe me muscle relaxents. Have you ever had a part of your body numb, foot or arm fell asleep, dental related, or otherwise?

laugh.gif Cute topic title, btw.

My whole foot went numb the other day and suddenly, after a couple of minutes of quiet, you could hear someone banging their foot against the wall and stomping on the floor like crazy. I swear, that tingly feeling would not go away!

I hate when you go to the dentist and have a numb lip and feels all fat and lumpy. I swear the first time I got numbed by the dentist I was drooling all over. haha. That's why you get paper bibs. rolleyes.gif

I get muscle cramps in my feet more than they fall asleep. They hurt soooo bad and the only time the pain somewhat goes away is when you push your foot really hard on the floor or squeeze it. It sucks.

OMG I WENT TO THE DENTIST TODAY TOO!

Yeah. He told me I have to get my wisdom teeth removed. Bleh. And, I had my mouth so open and big my jaw is sore. And when I yawn, it clamps up. It hurts. Roar.

Ouch! A friend of mine had his out and he had a bad reaction to the medication I think and he was out of school for a week. I've never gotten my wisdom teeth. My mom never had hers either... I guess that makes me lucky, but I didn't get my 12 year molers until I was almost 16. My mom thought they were my wisdom teeth, but when I went to the dentist they told me otherwise.

One time while the dentist was numbing me, she missed and numbed my left cheek and I believe my tongue. That wasn't very comfortable.

I had foot surgery, and to get the novicane or whatever they use into your foot, they first spray it with cold stuff to kindof numb it before they stick in the INCH LONG NEEDLE THROUGH THE THICK, THICK, THICK SKIN OF YOUR FOOT, and when they actually inject the stuff, IT FREAKING BURNS LIKE CRAZY.

I usually have a very high tolerance for pain, but man, I was squeezing my mommy's hand and involuntarily screaming it hurt so bad. Just typing this makes me cringe pinch.gif

Also, I had to get a tooth pulled and they didn't wait long enough for the numbing stuff to... well, numb, and I. felt. everything.

Wow, I've had some pretty bad experiences.

I went to sleep in class the other day with my legs crossed, and both of my feet fell asleep. When I woke up, my shoes had fallen off and my feet were on the cold tiled floor, and I couldn't even tell that I was barefoot. I HATE when my feet fall asleep.

I hate when my leg, foot, arm, hand, or finger EVER gets numb. So freaking annoying. Or my bum, from being lazy and sitting on this chair. Stupid numb-ness.

Yes, my feet sometimes fall asleep when I've been sitting cross-legged for too long. And like Linda, sometimes my butt becomes numb if I've been sitting around long enough. XD.gif

Yea I had a problem with four of my teeth two on both sides on my bottom. I had to go twice for each side and they would numb my mouth and leave me in there for like 30 min. alone and bored. pinch.gif I hate the dentist office, the smell of it makes me sick to my stomach instantly.

Other than that, I haven't ever gotten anything numbed, un-dental related.

I'm going to take this post away from numbness and talk about idiots.

So, you know those things they use to suck up your spit? My dentist left it in there under my tongue when he went to talk to his nurse. Turns out he left for quite a while.. It was like.. a really horrible sensation. When he took it out it hurt and I hit him in the eye. XD.gif

My ortho almost stuck metal things down my throat. Whoot.

My feet sometimes get numb, from just staying in one position waay to long.

Summer of '05, I had to pull of four of my teeth because the orthontist said so. Even I went home, I kept drooling and lips looked so huge. laugh.gif

I've never gotten any teeth pulled or any surgery, sooo um. I dunno. rolleyes.gif

When I got fillings, though, I had to get eight fillings (I ATE A LOT OF CANDY WHEN I WAS LITTLE), and it took FOREVER. I had a huge headache after that for about three days.. pinch.gif

When parts of my body go numb because the blood supply didn't get to it when I pressured/sit on it. I hate the after feeling.
