I searched, nothing came up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please. (:

Okay, I really do know that you can cook eggs, hard-boiled, scrambled, etc. buuut I can't do it. Just can't. I can't cook for silly. At all. It's impossible.

Get the point? Yes, I cannot cook: the best I've done is turn on the rice cooker. Score. To. Me.

Any others who plan on eating out or letting someone else do the cooking for the rest of your life?

Are you being serious?

Well for hard-broiled, you just heat a small pot of water. Put the egg in, put a lid over it, let it sit for like 10 mins, then take it out... VOILA!

Cooking eggs are my specialty (and omelettes!) They're the first things I cooked... but unfortunately, my expertise basically ends there - though I do make rather amazing awesome sandwiches.

Yes, I am serious. However, I just realized I have hard-boiled a few eggs in my lifetime! dance.gif As far as omelettes go, you're miles ahead of me.

So I'm like super jealous at all the amazing, instinctual cooks out there. My friend and her mom were trying to teach me how to cook one day (they failed) and had so much to teach about one recipe, it was crazy.

I can't cook eggs either. But it doesen't matter since I don't like eggs anyways.. I haven't cooked anything besides pasta. Well, actually, I just thought of the idea and had my aunt do the actual cooking.. So, basically, I can't cook.. I can bake though?

kaycee! you can cook hard-boiled eggs, i believe in you!

just, put the pot of water on the stove,
set it to high,
until the bubbles start going.
place how many # of eggs you want in there with a spoon
so you don't burn yourself or drop them and break.

and then just keep it boiling for like 7-10 minutes.
turn the stove off,
and
walla!
you got hard-boiled eggs.

next lesson: scrambled.

Scrambled is easy. You just use a nonstick pan, a plastic or wooden spoon/spatula, and always keep the heat on super low. Just keep on stirring the egg around.

I plan on learning how to cook. So far, I can't do much. I used to be scared of the stove. We have a propane one, so you have to turn the switch to light it, and if you don't do it the right way it just gives off gas. It always scares me that I'll blow the house up laugh.gif

Pour a little milk in the eggs after you beat them. It makes the eggs fluffy and they wont look so much like pancakes.

Gah, I hate eggs now, after Food Service class. We had to perfect the art of noticing the grade of eggs based on how they look (because when you crack an egg and place it on the griddle the more it runs the older it is). And we had to make different kinds of eggs.
Overeasy, Overmedium, Overhard, Sunny Side Up, Basted, Hard/Soft Boiled (gotta add salt), Poached, omletes, you name it we did it. Poached eggs were the hardest for me.

But, I'm a pretty good cook. I make a lot of different dishes, the hardest part is there's no one else to eat it ermm.gif I make a lot of German dishes

My pan always gets beaten up after I cooked scrambled. And scrambled looks disgusting when you cook it... I thought I was doing it wrong for the longest time, but it just looks like that until like the last minute of cooking. Whoever mentioned the milk idea, I'll try it - thanks!

I got lazy. I don't beat my eggs anymore. I just crack them and put it on the pan and swirl it around. happy.gif It all gets mixed eventually!

i loveee making scrambled eggs but i don't really like to eat them. but here is how i make them:

you need:
1 egg
milk
salt
pepper
butter
-----
bowl
non-stick pan
spatula
a fork

how to:

1. crack the egg and put it in the bowl

2. using your fork, whip the egg (i guess that is how you would say it)

3. add like two teaspoons of milk, continue to beat

4. add salt and pepper

5. have your pan on like 4 or 5 and hot

6. put butter (or PAM) on it

7. slowly poor the egg into the pan.

8. before it cooks too much, using your spatula, get all your egg in the center of the pan.

9. wait and flip it over

10. let both sides cook.

TA-DA

p.s. don't ever leafve the stove incase you over cook the egg.

i suck @ instructions.

^ I do the same thing. Except I put cheese in mine biggrin.gif

For those with electric stoves, when the eggs are almost done take it off the burner. Electic stove burners take forever to cool down. If you leave your eggs on that burner the eggs will still be cooking. Thats another reason why they will look like pancakes.
