Active?

One who posts frequently. But he/she posts meaningful posts, not just pointless spam.
okay, nvm on that.

Inactive?

One who doesn't post very much.

Active - Someone who is on daily and posts constantly.
Inactive - Someone who you see in a blue moon.

I think the definitions are obvious. An active member is someone who is actively posting and being here every day. An inactive member lacks activity, and isn't here at all.

That's how I define an active member. I define an active staff member differently.

Well, specifically, is active being in the top ten every day? One or two posts a day? Extreme posting once a week?

And also to everyone, to what degree does the quality of the posts count in activity or inactivity?

Active members are those who are continually posting around and voicing their opinion and their seen even when not posting.

Inactive members are one that hardly post and you never see around.

Active posting - at least 10 posts a day I think it good enough. Or even reaching to be on the top ten posters of the day. That's what I use to do is always reach the top of the top 10 list.

I don't think quality has anything to do with being active, but it definitely does when you're talking about a contributing member. A contributing member is someone who posts frequently, with meaningful posts.

Active would be someone with a cB pulse. You don't have to be on the top ten, because sometimes that's just impossible.

Inactive would be someone who hardly shows up. I see a lot of inactive members that show periodically, particularly at the end/beginning of the year, when there's a hiring session or when there's big fat drama lurking.
