What's your favorite country/place? Which country's (or place's) culture and history fascinates you most? Have you visited?

My favorite is Scotland. I love the land, it's absolutely beautiful, the culture, the language, the accent, the music... Hey, it's home to Robert Burns, who in my opinion is one of the most romantic figures in the world.

I've always thought Thailand was interesting in a way. I agree, it is beautiful.

I forgot to add that I've never been to Scotland. ermm.gif

I'd really like to visit Japan and all its districts someday.

As for places I've been to, China's my favorite place. Like Maggie, I also love HK. Their shopping and subways = pwn.

I've only been to Taiwan.

I can't really choose because each of the place(s), if counted US, they are different. You can't really compare though.

Brazil or Egypt.

Italy and Morrocco were pretty sweet though.

England (not the entire UK) and France. I love the cultures. I hope I can visit someday.

Malaysia was pretty cool too. My dad's from there. we visited, and it was so intriguing. everything was totally different.

Not really a country of its own, but Hong Kong is the most beautiful place ever. Everything there is so close and familiar to me, and my relatives are all there, so it just gives me a happy feeling whenever I'm there. Although I could sort of understand other people not loving it there. My friend went there once and she said she had a hard time finding vegetarian meals there, because she's Hindi and doesn't eat meat.

Italy is very beautiful.

If any of you ever get the chance to go there, or have been there. You will or do know what I am talking about.

Especially if you visit Rome.

^ Yeah, Italy's amazing. Rome was nice, but I thought Florence was prettier. It was less touristy.

Out of all the countries I've visited, I'd have to say Germany. Specifically Bavaria. Ahhh. It's so beautiful, clean (Germans are neat freaks haha), and full of culture. My Dad grew up over there. _smile.gif

Mostly, I adore many countries in Europe but I fascinate France the most.. It is truly amazing with those evening night lights. Everything from style, art, nature, etc. It's exquisite there. Hehe.

Also, those little Asian countries like N./S. Korea and Japan catches my attention as well. And basically, China amazes me as well. The cities are such a wonderful sight. Everything mostly from art is what I like.

United States, why? because we're multi-cultured, you can find almost anything happening here.

Whoas. I'm America where I'm living, obviously. LOL. And I've only been to a couple of nearby states and Canada. I'd really want to go around the world. rolleyes.gif

Agree happy.gif

I have to agree with the topic starter, that I wouldn't mind going to Scotland, the land and everything is beautiful. The culture is really neat as well.

My favorite country would have to be England. _smile.gif Yeah, I haven't visited there ever, but I'm planning to travel there one day, and look at the beautiful sites. It seems really interesting, and I might live there one day. _smile.gif
