I think this should be moved to the News section, No? tongue.gif

Anyways, that's cool. I wonder what they're going to discover in there.

Ooh my mom was telling about this.
And it could overthrow Christian beliefs with this family tree and Jesus' descendants thing.
It now means that Dan Brown is jumping up and down for joy.

And Santa Clause sprouted wings and flew to Neverland with Tinkerbell.

Sure.

I just can't really believe this. Mainly because it's a guy from Hollywood who is probably on the prowl to score a buck.

I personally don't see why this would be so hard to believe. I know there's a bunch of Christians on panic though.

It doesn't even necessarily mean that Christians were about what had happened, but rather misinterpreted what had happened at the time. Which is exactly what I think, but I'll get to that later.

You know what this means right? This means Dan Brown's book, allegedly written as "Fiction" is really HISTORICAL FICTION! :O

Oh my gosh. Oh how I wonder how much money people are going to make from this. Oish.

Haha, I find this hard to believe, but that woman they talked to (at the very bottom of the article) is pretty clever. It probably WOULD drive the housing prices up. laugh.gif

Well, obviously. mellow.gif

And I still find it hard to believe. If it's true then uhh, okay, I guess. I'm really mellow about this since it wouldn't affect me.

If it's true, then it's amazing and I can't wait to see what else they find.
If it's not and turns out to be some other tomb, well...I don't know.

Haha, I agree.

I don't really find it all that believable. I suppose I would have to pay more attention to it and see what happens with it.

Hmm. What evidence led them to this conclusion? What DNA tests? Weren't there were no tissues found to actually test? A bunch of similar names doesn't mean the family was actually Jesus'.

I agree with Cameron on one point: "Let the debate begin." :P I'm curious to see the documentary though.

It doesnt matter. They dont have proof that this is actually the "Jesus" from the bible.

About the family, someone probably made it up. it's possible to fool the DNA in some undetected ways.

I'll reserve my judgement until I see the documentary (which may very well never happen, but who knows) but so far, the whole thing seems more of an advertising campaign to endorse another piece of christian pseudo-science for people to buy rather than a real archeological investigation.

This discovery is not that great. "Jesus" and "Mary" were two very common first names during Christ's time. There's no way of knowing which Jesus and Mary are buried in that particular tomb. It's sort of like if Christ lived on earth now, and his name had been "John" or "William" or something, and 2000 years from now archaeologists were to find a grave marked "John", it would prove nothing, because there are countless Johns about.

Jesus Christ was not married (that's all a farse), and his body will never be found.

it's not true.. i think.
jesus NEVER got married in his life OR had a son
he was NOT buried along with mary. he was buried by himself.
& jesus was an only child.

that picture was the tomb?
i thought jesus was buried in like a cave or something and they used a stone to cover the cave.. uhhh..

i'm not gonna believe this ermm.gif
