Grey Goose got the girl feeling loose...

So. At lunch today, a discussion came up. As they tend to.

A girl is going to have a one-night stand, or a fling, or whatever, because she wants to have sex. Protected, both partners are disease free, and both parties are consenting adults. Totaly legit.

Is there a difference between that and said girl, rather than going to a bar/party/whatever to find a guy to hook up with, being paid for sex. Again, assuming that it will be protected, both partners are disease free, and both are consenting adults.

I honestly do not see the difference. In fact, I say, if you're going to have casual sex out of it, why not make some money? One of my friends was offered £50 to sleep with a guy in the not to distant past. She declined, but has since had more sexual experience, and said that frankly, if the opportunity arose again, and she was up for sex, she would accept.

About 2/3 of the people (10ish) were shocked by this, and said that it was horrible, or something along those lines.

Now personally, I say fair enough. She hooks up with guys anyway, so why not make some money out of it to add to the fun?

This really sparked a proper discussion, lasted for the whole lunch hour. Just thought it was odd how opinions altered as soon as money was added into the situation.

Perhaps because with one-night-stands, you have the choice of who you sleep with? Besides, the problem with prostitution is really that this outlet is these women's only venue for money, their last resort, which is not exactly consenting, but more of feeling helpless or as if it is necessary.

Im unfamilar with prostitution being illegal here. i could have sworn it was. shrug.gif

However if it was the US I know for a fact Paying for a sex act no matter under what circumstance is illigal and is considered "prostitution" and that there is a differance..
They say they have the right to arrest you when the words "(certain sex act) for (certain price)" are spoken and agreed on.
So either way. even if it was casual sex but you agree to take the money. its illegal.

Not to mention how degrading i find hook ups.I dont get the whole concept of "f**king and running away". at lease say to cuddle...or tell me how i was??? sad.gif

Well, as Sammi stated, there's the choice of the matter. Prostitution is seen as wrong because it becomes the prostitute's job, s/he must have sex with anyone who presents the right number. On the other hand, with casual sex, each partner gets to choose who they'd be sleeping with. With casual sex, there's the choice to take the money. If your friend were to take the money, I wouldn't see it strictly and explicitly as prostitution.

Well, like they've already said prostitution isn't quite the way to go. I don't really think that taking money for one night stands justifies what you're doing, so why reward bad behavior like one night stands with money?

Maybe the sexual pleasure they get out of it isn't worth money tongue.gif

I'm not saying it justifies it, if you will, but isn't benefiting financially from a one-night stand better than just having the one-night stand?

That to me is just common sense.

I agree. IMO, if you were offered money by someone that you have sexual chemistry with for a one night stand, it's a lot better than just prostitution.

btw James, when I read the title "grey goose", I immediately thought of the vodka. laugh.gif

AH okay, well I figured I could have been the only one that thought of Grey Goose Vodka.. mellow.gif

To be honest I guess I can kind of see where you getting at James, and if your going to have a one night stand then I suppose you can make money doing it. I find it kind of amusing. Its would never be my thing to do though, I've never been the type of person that would ever do or consider a one night stand. For the ones out there that want to do them, have at it.

I'm not here to judge them, I don't even know them. If their not going to get hurt in the process and just want to have some fun then more power to them I suppose.

Well, by definition, a prostitute is someone who engages in sexual intercourse willingly (according to dictionary.com). But I kind of agree with what Kaycee is saying, about the choice of who you're sleeping with. In any case, prostitution is illegal, here in Las Vegas. Personally, casual sex is something I would never be interested in. ermm.gif Even for money.

I agree with you, James, even though it may not be legal to do that.

If you compare a one night stand and going to a bar and doing it with someone, both of them not carrying STDs and adults, then why not?

But anyone doing that in the first place might be labeled as a prostitute/slut no matter if she made money or not.

Well, I mean, obviously, it isn't legal...

But doing something illegal isn't necessarily bad in and of itself.

And frankly, I'd sooner pay someone to have sex than to go and shoot people in Iraq. But hey, that's just me

Were you listening to TI ft. Nelly - Get Loose When you made this topic ? haha JK.

Let me see you get loose
If you really wanna show me that you love me, get loose
No Grey Goose, if don't get loose

In my opinion, I see nothing wrong with the girl getting paid after a one night stand if its all legal, after all gold digging isn't illegal either, and the partner still ends up spending money.

Also check this out, you go on your first date with this girl. You take her to a restaurant and you spend a total of 100 dollars. You go home and do your thing with her. Now to the one night stand , instead of going out to the restaurant you two come to an agreement of a one night stand. You pay her 100 dollars for her services.

Sense the sex is consensual in both cases its possible that in Case 1 (going on the date) you may not get any. Now you're out of a 100 dollars.

Wtf. You are the most ignorant person on this forum at the moment.

I'm going to stop here. I'm sorry James, I don't want to spoil your topic.

Again, I agree with you. It's just that, getting paid for sex gives a terrible image. The girl / boy would come off as a prostitute. 'Bitch, I'm paying to f-ck you, so do it right'. But if he / she doesn't get paid, they are considered as one night stands. There is a difference between ONS and prostitutes: money.

I am sexually experienced. I'd never want to get paid for my 'services'. Although, if it was a legit business, I'd do it.

No, I don't mind you. I just don't like how you directly insult people in your opinions, claiming they are sluts and such just because they are different than you. You don't know anyone's situations or personal stories. How do you know they aren't doing it to take care of their kids and stay alive? Calling them a slut without knowing an details, now that's disrespectful.
