Yes, I know I'm double posting. Whatever.

I think before Mexicans keep coming in, they should talk to people who started illegal immigration: the Spaniards.

I mean, they didn't tread into the Americas, go up to the Inca/Aztecs and be like, "OMG we want welfare plzzzzz give us!11" Nuh-uhhh. They were some BAMF's, they took it to the next level. They were like, "Mira, puto, esta es NUESTRA tierra ahora. Si no te gusta, podemos matarte, ¿claro? Vale." (Look, bitch, this is OUR land now. If you don't like it, we can kill you, 'kay? Kay. (Vale = "okay" in Spain.) ). And they're doing it BIG now, ya tú sabes. (you know). The Spaniards had illegal immigration down to an artform, fool. yeahhhhh.

(Note: This is only a joke, so please don't be offended.)

No im not offended.I got a kick out of that. i just hate how i know alot about my peoples history [mexican and puerto rican] and yet when i was living in chicago i was the one who was told "i dont know shit about my people" or that im "a disgrace to hispanics everywhere" jsut becasue im not into chicos,or becasue i dont care much for cinco de mayo and viva la raza.f**k that

it makes me muy mad. verymad.gif

I recorded it so I'm not sure yet. I know Gloria Trevi opened, Rakim y Ken-Y performed, Olga Tanon, and Pepe Augilar performed. All I know so far.

Winners included: Daddy Yankee, Mana, Olga Tanon, Juan Luis Guerra, Intocable, Wisin y Yandel. and more

Juan Luis Guerra and La 5a Estacion also performed

Oh goodness, no! They're really proud, but I think they kind of understand the stereotypes out there. They don't believe in them, but they could see that point of view.

I''m in an honors program, and in all of my classes it is at leat 95% Asian, and over 60% of my school is Hispanic. When those statistics come up, you know something's wrong.

Same here. Some of my friends are ashamed of speaking Spanish or being Hispanic, and i don't understand why. I'm proud of my heritage.

Sometimes if I'm out with my mom and my brother, I feel a little embarrassed because I feel like an outsider. I know that's stupid because I am as equally hispanic as them (well, my brother, anyway), but I look white. Like blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin white. I'm always asked if I'm adopted or if I'm my brother's girlfriend blink.gif .

I was watching the show Survivor and you a see a (mexican) girl massaging her teammates (boy) back. And this lady says "Oh I know what's going in her diabolical little mexican mind." I was like wow, racist. Why did she feel the need to include that she was Mexican? I honestly doubt that race mattered.
