Part of our swim team's tradition is that everyone who makes it to championships has to shave their head becuase it makes you A LOT faster. It's my freshman year I made it and shaved my head. I ended up getting 1st in the 200 meter IM [a race were each person swims 2 laps of each stroke] and 2nd in the 100 meter backstroke. In doing that we won our 10th straight league title.

So the point of this topic is what is the craziest thing you ever did for something or someone and did it work out the way you hoped? For me it did, but now i am going to look strange for a few months XD.gif

you do realize that your title says save, not shave, right? because those two are two totally different topics if you read them side by side.

hmm, well..i dont think ive really done much. however, during the musical..some of the boys had to cut their shaggy hair. they pretty much cried.

Ha dude I had a mohawk last year for football but it didn't really help me in anyway. I know swimmers though that shave their arms and stuff but the hair thing I have never heard of. I don't think I've done anything like that.

don't they make swim caps for that?

i, too, cut my hair into a mohawk and to this day, it's still done nothing for me. well, except the fact that my mom kind of likes it now.

I cut 2/3 of my hair off for a play...

And since I then had to slick it all back and down ANYWAY, it was totaly unnecessary. I'm still bitter about it to this day.

I never had to do anything to my hair, but Mike laugh.gif I want to see a picture, I'm sure your hair will grow back fast though. All the guys around here always have to shave their heads because of rotc.

Anyway, I don't really know of anything that I've done something crazy and it worked out the way I hoped. A lot of things don't work out the way I hoped.

IAN OMG. YOU'RE ALIVEEE!!
Well during softball last year, [I'm a very quiet person] my coach told me to yell 'I got it' when I'm catching the ball, he could never hear me, so one day he made me yell, or else the team would run all day, so I did it and yea it was so bad.

Um. No. Not really.

I like my hair. I'm not going to just shave it off unless I have a good legitimate reason (unlike Britney) to do so.

I would wear a swim cap. I don't want to be bald.

lol, mmm. I don't think i've ever had to do anything with my hair lol, not for a sport or anything. Maybe put crazy things in it for musicals and dance, but for sports it usually was clipped up with a major headband so it wouldn't fall in my face.

Ah, I'm not really sure what's the craziest thing I've done for someone else.
Well, i remember something ackward.
Drove my brother to Dave & Busters arcade, cept we couldn't get in because atfter 5 pm you had to be 21, or be accompanied by someone over 25 if you're a minor. [which my brother was, and i'm not 25 lol, or even 21 for that matter], So I went up to random people in the mall, asking them to get us into the arcade and act like we were part of their family and to just flash some id. Yeah, kinda ackward, but I love my brother lol. It worked out at the end. Got some 45 year old guy and his 13 year old son to accept me, my boyfriend, and brother as part of their family.

Wow, Ian's back!

Anyways, there's a tradition here that wrestlers bleach their hair. It kinda funny. Our swimmer don't have a tradition... but 5 of them are going to state!!!

OMG HI IAN

Um. I haven't done anything except keep my hair longish for dance once (had it down to my butt, it was so annoying to wash), but that's not really crazy.

In Hong Kong, my grandma took me to the barbershop, and since it was all the fashion to have short hair, they gave me this really short haircut and I looked like a boy. sad.gif

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything extreme that I've done but my sister in law (she's not in my academy) she skipped a day of school in order to go with us on a trip. I'm surprised she got through the head count and past my teachers who were checking. Doesn't seem to crazy when it's read but my heart was booming through it's socket.
