Ok sometimes on random days I will take the time to put on make up ( eye liner, eye shadow etc)

But for some reason every time I put on eye liner and eye shadow..my eyes start hurting..

Has this happened to you?

Does the skin around the eye hurt (like the eyelid) or the eye itself?

You might have an infection from the times you wore eyeliner/eyeshadow.

I was going to say that but that's weird for eyeshadow to hurt. I understand putting on eyeliner too hard can make your eyelid or underneath your eye hurts because that's happened to me. Maybe try new eyeshadow/eyeliner? _unsure.gif

If you use something rough to take the makeup off and you rub really hard when taking it off, the skin will get raw and hurt.

I've had that before. It even hurts when you put on eyeshadow.

Maybe use a makeup remover instead of just a tissue. Or lotion.

^I was going to pretty much suggest the same thing. Maybe switching the brand of makeup you usually buy? I'm not sure.

Maybe you just have an allergic reaction to the eyeshadow you use? I'm not sure though, 'cause I don't know if you can be allergic to makeup or not mellow.gif

^ Yes, you can.

Maybe try buying some Neutrogena makeup? I think its supposed to be hypo-allergenic. thumbsup.gif

^ I think that's Clinique makeup... or maybe both. ehh.

Use a mild eye-makeup remover, not just normal soap or face wash. Apply it to a damp cotton ball or something like that, and gently rub.

What kind of hurt is it? Sting, or bruised kind of hurt?

what kind of eye liner do you use? some eye liners have charcoal and some people are allergic to it.

you could also have an allergy to your eyeshadow. check your brushes, if they are several months to over a year old, it's time to change. sometimes, the powder makes the puff rough and it irritates your skin. also check how long you had your makeup. if it's several years old, start getting new stuff.

Thats odd, it may be the type of eyeliner your using? Maybe go get some different kind..

Never happened to me. Sometimes I'll randomly wear eyeliner, but its never hurt me..

Three possibilities (four, if you wear contacts).
1) You're allergic to the makeup.
2) You got it in your eye and now you have a stye.
3) You didn't get all the makeup off and went to bed, and now you have an eye infection.

*Do you wear contacts? Maybe it's not suitable for contact lense wearers.
