confused on banners & backgrounds |

ok..im kinda new at this & im catchin on pretty quick but what i was wantin to know is, how can i get a banner at the top of my page? i have the banner i want saved on my comp but no idea how to get it on there..& when i have tried it doesnt show up & backgrounds too!
 lol i have the bg saved on my comp but also no idea how to get it on my page..your prolly thinkin geez..whats wrong w/ this girl..but i need help! id love you guys forever thanks |
