I'm not really sure, cause where I live, yes, it is perfectly normal to kiss your best girl friends' cheeks (we call it 'beso beso'), and hold hands and hug each other. And it is also normal to just smile at someone you don't know, same here. i dunno i guess it's just because of the way that we are raised. like people have said ethnic culture plays a big part. I dont really do the whole "kiss your best girl friends' cheeks" i usually only do that with the family. But yeah hugging is like normal for me. The beso beso is the way i greet the fam (or those of my culture who are accustomed to it). but yeah hugging at my school is big. |
