Umm, the closest topic I searched up was about bad luck. mellow.gif It wasn't exactly what this topic was aimed for, but you can merge it if you want.

Anyway...
Well, you know how there are legends or tales or w/e about raising your luck ?
Like the finding four-leaf clover or finding a penny head's side up.
Or crossing your fingers. Or knocking on wood.
Etc.
Has those ever worked for you ? Or do you think they're just coincidences ? tongue.gif

Yeah, well, my mom told me that if you grow a white eyebrow or whatever, you'll have good luck as long as it remains. Pulling it out means you'll get bad luck and when it falls out, your luck will return to normal. I think that's it. And I have one. I always thought I was pretty unlucky.

Anyway, yeah. I lost my mp3 player on the plane a few days ago. Usually when people lose stuff on the plane, you will never get it back. Well, the airport called and asked us to pick it up.
I'm like mellow.gif mellow.gif mellow.gif mellow.gif mellow.gif ?!?!!?!?!?!?

... Wow. I thought my precious mp3 player was a goner. sad.gif

You ? XD.gif

^oh wow that's great though!
nothing really comes to mind, but like i never believed in any of the supersitions such as "if you step on a crack you'll break your mama's back" that sort of thing, i mean as a joke i guess if i'm talking to someone about something i'm hoping to happen, i'll like cross my fingers or literally knock on wood. i have had instances in seeing occurances being "jinxed" or well conincidence or like if you haven't knocked on wood or say it'll never happen but it does. like with traffic or something with someone i know, but i can't remember at the moment, but i know its happened before. i'll re edit once i remember.

I don't believe in luck; I see it as mere conincidences. But it makes it very difficult when wanting to wish someone "Good luck!" I'm just saying that I hope they do well, but if I don't believe in luck, then how could I say such a thing?

I've, um, given up on finding a new phrase to say and just say "Good luck!" anyway. mellow.gif

Oh, and congrats on your mp3 player. (:

I stopped picking up lucky pennies a while ago, but I still like searching for four-leaf clovers just because it's fun. I sometimes cross my fingers if I'm feeling really nervous about something. I know that all of these little things don't affect the outcome of a situation even though it'd be nice if they did.

I'm glad you got your MP3 player back, by the way. I'd be devastated if I lost my iPod.

I believe in luck but then again, it really seems a lot like a coincidence.

I found 2 four leaf clovers, one at my softball game, and we lost, so it really doesn't matter unless you really believe in it, which I did, but we still lost -.-

I haven't really thought about those good luck things actually working.

I think it is just a coincidence. But with your mp3 player, that was just pure luck.
