yea, okay. so, i put an airborne tablet into one of those mini pint size water bottles a few minutes ago because i was feeling a cold coming on. usually, i would have let the cold do its thing, but our high school musical is coming up next thursday and theres no way that ill get fully beter in order to perform and sing.

it tasted like shit. (i have the lemon lime kind) i seriously lmost barfed during my last sip. UGH. it was disgusting.

has anyone used airborne before? and if so, did it work?

I asked for a sample of it. And it was also lemon lime. And it tastes like crap.

If your throat gets scratchy, I take a cough drop and it goes away. I don't suggest Airborne.

It tastes like medicated seltzer. And I don't think it works that well. It's more like a flavored Alta-Seltzer with an attempt to put fruity stuff in it.

I tried the pills one time, and it didnt really work.

^ Like she said, I bet a cough drop would work better. Or maybe those popsicles they have for little kids with sore throats? I have a friend who claims those things work like magic. lol.

No, I've never tried it before. I probably won't now that I've read this thread.

I see it all the time, but I've never tried it. I stick to liquid syrup, tyvm.

Is it working so far?

My parents like swear by that stuff...

I'd recommend getting the orange flavored one. Put it in just enough hot water to melt it, then pour orange juice over it. You can't taste it at all, but you have to stir it every once in a while.

Works very well, however, the side effects of it are very controversial.

i thought it was created by a 4th grade teacher?
whatever. anyways... haha.

I work at a health and fitness gym and my boss is a nutritional freak, etc. Him and his wife drink airborne daily, and I do now as well. I dont really mind it anymore. I have the lemon lime on the go ones. Its just the powder one that you put into your water bottle. They use the orginal tablet ones though, I guess the orange? I'm not really sure of the flavor, but it works great for them and for me as well.

It's better to take it on a daily basis rather than take it when you think you are sick and expect it to have effects right away... but thats obvious for anything.

i've tried it. I think i had the orange original flavor one. i like it, it kinda helped me when i felt like i was about to get sick. i dont think it supposed to help you get better but it will help your immune system to prevent you from getting sick

I heard on the news a while ago that Airborne was essentially useless and that it just made you feel better - it didn't actually help with anything.

but who knows
I like the pink grapefruit kind anyway, as long as I don't have it too much. Then it starts tasting nasty.

I've had this stuff, and I can't say there was a noticeable difference, but IMO this stuff is advertised toward the wrong audience. It should be targeting children and young teenagers where the ingredients might have a larger effect in preventing so and so colds.

There was an article about Airborne in Scientific American that basically proved everything about it to be a bunch of crap. They even said that the teacher thing is a lie. lol.

That said, I think it has helped me in the past...maybe. But I tend to be pretty good at just forcing myself to not get sick, anyway.

I never tried airborne.
I don't trust the commercials.

For a cold, cough drops work to help your throat.
And drink a tablespoon or a teaspoon of honey in the morning.
