I mean, I was a bit skeptical at first too. But the first time I sacrificed a virgin... man, I knew this religion was for me.
Now, on the other hand, cow's blood isnt as delicious as it may sound...

Sorry guys, been sick for awhile now so I haven't really had a chance to respond to these. Hail Satan? Sounds like the evil Satan to me. Haha, just kidding.

I do not necessarily support Satanism, but I think that everyone should follow their own beliefs.

I do not understand why people would worship Satan unless they realized that there is God. And if they believe in God, why would they want to condemn themselves to hell for eternity? So they can have a fun life on earth? confusing*

I don't know enough about Satanism to say much on the topic. I guess I should just Wikipedia it. ^_^

Aren't you even slightly afraid of what will happen to all your thoughts and memories when you're dead? Death is so.. foreign. >_< Scary.

Not really. I mean I'm afraid of how I'll end up dying, if it will hurt or not. But, honestly I am not afraid of my afterlife if there is one. Death is truly not scary if you don't want it to be.

I guess I overthink it. And I'm just way too happy. :D Not saying that you fear death b/c you're not happy. haha

QUOTE(Obscure Enigma @ Dec 29 2006, 8:51 PM) *

It says in the Holy Bible that there is, in fact, Satan & Hell & God created them both, just as he created everything else. When he first created Satan, it was the purpose of everyone else being created & that is to spread God's word. Satan made himself one that was evil & twisted, which is particially the reason that everyone on Earth has gotten religions twisted. Satan beilieved that he was more powerful than God, which was a major sin, especially for an angel. Therefore, God kicked him out of Heaven & into Damnation. I dunno if that made any sense or not but I am a new Christian so I am not that informed on the subject yet.

But God, being "all powerful", wouldnt he have the power to overcome Satan? If God isnt ultimately more powerful than him, then he really isnt all powerful after all.

Actually, I think I remember my church youth director (I'm agnostic now) telling me that God told Satan what he could and couldn't do; God used Satan to test our faith, or something along those lines. Satan knows that that he is below God.

Wasn't Satan's angel name Lucifer? I can't remember.

^ Interesting. Now this is going by the typical Christian faith (I'm Agnostic too btw)... but why would God give Satan the power to keep so many people from accepting him as their savior? So instead of people going to be with God in Heaven, Satan ends up tempting them and they end up burning in Hell for eternity.

Sounds pretty screwed up for me.
But anyways, this is kinda off topic ehh. Sorry. happy.gif

True. That's a question that really has no true answer. I think it's because we are supposed to show our "true" faith or something. shrugs*

The only reason I'm agnostic is because I go against many of the Christian morals / traditions / beliefs. I believe in God, but I don't think he wrote all that crap in the Bible.

VERY true. I mean Satan used to be in Heaven, he's a fallen angel..he was banished from Heaven to Hell.

We dont worship Satan. We dont believe in Satan. We dont believe in God.
Why can't you people understand that? its a simple concept.

How thick are you?? I've told you over and over that Satanism is not the worship of Satan, but you still dont get it. Research the religion before you try to answer these questions.

dont pretend like you know something about it when you really dont.
and dont give me that dictionary bullshit. Actually RESEARCH it. that doesnt mean looking it up in the f**king dictionary.

You are a dumbass. I've told you thats not what Satanism is. I've quoted the founder of the religion. You just dont get it. Are you retarded or something? I mean seriously......

Er, sorry. mellow.gif
Maybe you should exactly outline what Satanism is. shrugs*
And, we "can" understand it. It's just that not many of us actually know what Satanism is.

There's no need to get angry about it and bash someone.

And I think before you start telling me I need to not pretend to know things, you need to stop pretending to be a know-it-all and accept what another person believes.

The only contradiction I see is that they say they believe in God but don't follow the Bible but call themselves Agnostic...Agnostics are unsure of God's existance...but no one said in order to believe in a God that you MUST follow the Bible.

I don't see any contradictions. shrug*

If you're saying it's because I'm agnostic, yet I believe in God, I thought that was what being agnostic is about. I'm not sure what God is or has done, I just believe in a superior power, and I call "it" God.

Agnostic - One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God or
One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

Hmm, I think there was another word to describe what I believe in, but I forgot it. laugh.gif
But, I guess, in a way I'm agnostic, and in other ways I'm not. My belief in God kind of slips in and out.

If you believe in A God but don't follow the Christian beliefs you would be considered a "Theist" which is a person who believes in God.

I wouldnt be rude to you if I hadn't told you countless times already that we dont worship satan. you just dont get it.

We dont believe there is a Satan. "satan" in our religion is just a symbol. Its a concept.
I told you what exactly "satan" is to us.
I guess I'll say it again cuz you didn't seem to get it the first time.

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!
7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!
9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

We in no way worship Satan. We don't believe in the christian concept of Satan. We just use the name to describe certain concepts.
If anything, we worship ourselves.

Satan is more of a metaphor, if not a satirical symbol.

QUOTE(Heath21 @ Feb 6 2007, 11:34 PM) *

I've told you this several times, you just dont seem to get it. Satanism was founded by Anton Szander LaVey. My information comes from him because he, having created the religion, is the most credible source.
Lets make an analogy here if you will. Lets say there were two websites about Catholicism. One was written by the pope, another was written by someone from a small town in Asia who had never come in contact with a Catholic in his life. The only thing that the second person had heard about Catholicism is that it was evil. he also heard that Catholics worshipped rabbits. Now he writes this website about the evils of Catholicism and their bunny worship.
Which site would you trust? the informative site written by someone in Asia who had never incountered a Catholic, or the one written by the Pope himself?

Now even that's a bit off because the Pope didnt found the religion. He could still be wrong.
So instead, lets say there was a website written by Jesus himself. Now, this wouldnt happen, but lets say that there was concrete proof that he wrote it. No way at all that it could be denied. And we still have the site written by the random guy in Asia.
Which site would you trust to get your information on Catholicism?

Most people who say that Satanism is evil dont undertand what it really is. I dont tolerate those kinds of people. However, if someone has thoroughly studied Satanism and still believes that it is evil, I respect that opinion.

As for your comment about me thinking I know everything, I dont think that. I know I dont know everything about the religion, I'd still like to learn more. However, I do know more than you do about it. I have studied it a lot more than you have.
